1957 Porsche Speedster 'clone' - 356 Widebody Speedster built by Vintage Speedsters of California. They are the world's largest manufacturer of quality 356 replicas. Now. I'm not personally a fan of replicas. but this one is built incredibly well. with exceptionally fine fit and finish. Their standard of quality is very high. and it shows. This particular one has just over 3600 original miles. and was built with almost every available option. including the widebody. the 17" upgraded polished aluminum wheels. Nardi steering wheel. 85hp 1915cc motor. Air Conditioning. Front Disc Brakes. Luggage Rack. Trunk Carpet Kit. Leather Interior. Bumper Guards. CoCo Mats. External Oil Cooler with fan. and many more options. The car is in excellent condition and drives perfectly well. The air-cooled 85hp VW motor isn't exactly packing a wallop. but it certainly is torquey at the low RPMs. and the 4spd gearbox is crisp and shifts deliberately. The paint. the leather seats. the carpeting. the top. the tonneau covers. are all in immaculate condition. The car was purchased new in Arizona and because it's a kit car has an assigned VIN.
