I bought this truck anticipating that my daughter would drive it her senior year of high school. It already had air conditioning but I spiffed it up to include more comfort and safety features. things like power steering. good wheels/tires. new headliner. fixed all the nit picky leaks. new turn signals. brighter brake lights and reverse lights. etc.
Now she's off at college so it's my car now. I drive it about every day depending on my schedule but usually stick pretty close to home. She'll get up to about 55 mph on a highway but most of my driving is city driving. I keep her very well maintained and have all the records. including from the previous owners.
She's comfortable to drive and ride in in both Texas summer and winter. and gets compliments wherever I take her.
Mechanical Features: Manufactured December 1978. original 2f engine. 4 speed manual transmission (on the floor). 4 wheel drive. 3:70 factory differentials. complete set of Toyota Factory Repair manuals

The defects that I have noticed include: some rust oxidation in the normal places. a tear on the seam of the vinyl driver seat (so I use canvas seat covers for both comfort and to prevent a further tear). and the parking brake doesn't hold the truck (so I park it in gear when on an incline).
