1960 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider

62. 00 miles. Matching numbers. Red with black interior from new. The last owner purchased the car in 1969. He drove it as a summer car until the engine failed in the early 1980 s. At this point he not only overhauled the engine. he also rebuilt the transmission. steering and brakes. The engine was fitted with Veloce pistons. cylinder head and oil pan. The car was used for a short period before he decided to repaint the body. The car was never driven by him again. After his passing in the mid 1990 s. I purchased the car from his family.

The chrome is all original. except for the bumpers. and is in very good condition. The windshield has wiper scratches. but is not cracked. The body has had the rocker panels and floor pans replaced due to rust. The repair was properly done using replacement parts. The paint has a few tiny chips and scratches. but overall looks excellent. The doors and lids fit and function. The canvas top has been replaced as well as the carpets and mats. The seats have been reupholstered and match the original interior panels well. The car has all its original knobs. handles and interior trim. It also has all five original Boranni rims with very good Dunlop tires. As I have stated. the major mechanicals were all overhauled just a few miles ago. but that was many years ago. Many parts were replaced. some obvious. like the exhaust and tires. I do not know all the parts that were replaced inside the engine and transmission. It does have a couple oil leaks and sometimes the speedometer needle sticks.

Although the car is extremely nice inside and out. it is not perfect. I have driven the Alfa approximately 25 miles. The engine works quite well. holds 55 psi oil pressure. 20 psi at idle. It runs smoothly with no exhaust smoke. The clutch and transmission work properly including the synchros. The car steers and brakes straight. The lights. horn. wipers. heater. speedo. oil pressure. water temp. . fuel and oil temp. gauges all work. The tachometer does not function.

The car being sold as is. where is. with no warranty whatsoever. I have the title in hand. I am selling the car because I still own the Giulietta that I bought in the late 1960 s. In all. this is a

very nice

54 year old Italian sports car.
