1965 Porsche 911 w/ Kardex Documented Factory Replacement 1968 911S Motor for sale
Current customer rating:
September 1965 911 returned to the factory in 68 for fitment of a new 68 911 S engine and gear box. This is fully documented by the Kardex. Interesting history. This car was rumored to have been prepared by Hahn in Germany. Imported into the US in 74 then parked. Originally Polo Red/ Black/Pepita. Outside thermometer is original and still works. This will be a spectacular 911 once fully restored with the best of both worlds. a 65 911 with 911 S conversion. This is likely the only one done by the Porsche factory.
More Info:

He bought this 911 in 1974 from a Porsche restoration shop in Schweinfurt. Germany.
It was painted orange at this time and had horn grill mounted lights and fender flairs installed as the picture shows.
Apparently it was an extremely fast car. the owner let his brother get it up to 142 MPH.
In 1974 the owner had finished with his military duty in Germany and had the Porsche delivered to Bremerhaven and shipped back to the US while he spent a year in Europe. the Middle East and Africa.
Once he returned home he decided to paint the 911 silver and removed the fender mounted mirror.
He drove the car like this from 1976-1981 while he got his MBA. Ph D and became a collage Professor.
In 1981 the car was parked in a garage in Lancaster. Pennsylvania and that is the last time it was driven.
