More than once. Chevy pitched its products as offering Cadillac features at Chevrolet prices. At MotoeXotica Classic Cars. we have the perfect example of this philosophy in a 1957 Chevrolet Bel-Air Sedan. This Bel-Air is wonderfully presented with options one never sees; including factory air conditioning. power steering. power brakes. power windows. dual spot-lights. and dual antennas.

One of the most recognized icons in the automotive industry. the '57 Bel Air introduced minor improvements from the previous year like more chrome and featured a golden grille set off with a heavy chrome bar that included parking lights.

The rear fins were capped with chrome moldings and highlighted with anodized aluminum side trim panels. The fuel-filler door was even concealed in the left rear chrome fin to clean up the lines of the car.

Made in GM's Kansas City. Kansas assembly plant. this example came to us fully restored and ready to drive or win trophies. Finished in India Ivory over Tropical Turquoise. this car looks fantastic! The paint and trim are in excellent condition. The car's windows are intact and clear and look great. The sedan's lights are clear. in one piece and in very good order. The car rolls on wide whitewall tires with factory wheel covers and all of its body panels are straight and solid. including shiny bumpers. The engine bay is very tidy and the battery looks new. Extra exterior features include dual cowl spotlights. dual rear antennas and rear fenders skirts.

It is the driver convenience features that help set this car apart for almost any other '57 Bel-Air out there. This car comes with rare factory Harrison/GM air-conditioning. power steering. power brakes. power windows and power front bench seat! Under the hood is a 283 CID V-8 engine. an increase in displacement from the 265 CID V-8 and this 283 is connected to a Powerglide two-speed automatic transmission. Fully capable of cruising at todays highway speeds and then some!

Inside. the two-tone blue cloth and vinyl interior is stunning. The two-tone blue bench seats are in excellent condition while the blue carpet is in very good order. as is the matching headliner. The two-tone blue metal instrument panel is in excellent order. as is the two-spoke steering wheel and inner door panels. The mirror glass looks very good. as does the shifter. Rounding out the interior is a factory AM radio and a clock.

The Chevrolet Bel-Air was a full-size car produced by Chevrolet for the 1950–1981 model years. Initially only the two-door hardtops in the Chevrolet model range were designated with the Bel-Air name from 1950 to 1952. as distinct from the Styleline and Fleetline models for the remainder of the range. With the 1953 model year. the Bel-Air name was changed from a designation for a unique body shape to a premium level of trim applied across a number of body styles.

The 1957 Bel-Air is among the most recognizable American cars of all time; well-maintained examples. especially Sport Coupes and Convertibles. which are highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts. They are roomy. with tastefully restrained. period use tail fins and chrome.

Competition to this Bel-Air in 1957 included Dodge's Coronet Red Ram V-8. Ford's Fairlane 500 Town Sedan. Hudson's Hornet Super Sedan and Nash's Ambassador Super Sedan.

This car is currently located at our facility in St. Louis. Missouri. Current mileage on the odometer shows 881 miles. It is sold as is. where is. on a clean and clear. mileage exempt title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!

MotoExotica. com is a licensed bonded dealer through the state of Missouri. We have been in business since 1988 selling high end. special interest. pre-owned and exotic vehicles.

With the advent of the Internet and EBay Motors. we have found an avenue that allows us to sell cars we normally purchased for ourselves. We have owned just about every exotic and luxury car known to man; such as ISO Grifo to Jaguar XKE. Lamborghini Countach and Rolls Royce.

In the past. these cars were sold primarily through Hemmings Motor News and through word of mouth. We would normally keep a car and enjoy it personally for 6 – 18 months. However. with listing cars on EBay Motors. our turnover has tremendously increased. Now. the average time we hold a car is 4 – 6 weeks!

With the increase in turnover has come the increased need of fine automobiles. We are constantly looking for exceptional cars and travel the country coast to coast in search of the rare and unusual. We find our cars through individuals like yourselves as well as classic car and dealers auctions. We do not purchase vehicles that we would not be proud to own ourselves.
