This is a 1963 Crown Imperial convertible.   Only 513 of these cars were built that year.   The Imperial Club calls this car “the ‘63'60” because the rear section is from a 1960 Imperial and so are the swivel bucket front seats. It runs beautifully.   This is a one-of-a-kind automobile. there is not another like it.

Got the car in 1980 and have had it for 33 years.   It had 80K miles on the odometer when I got it and now has 110K miles on it.

The color is Mica Ruby Poly. the roof and boot cover are Burgundy. and the interior is Red. (The first two pictures in the listing show the color best. ) The interior is all new. high-quality professional work. The seat belt buckles are unusual.   Have you ever seen any like them?  Probably not with the Imperial emblem on the top of the buckle! All the chrome plating. including the bumpers. was done by NuChrome.

It has a 413 cubic inch engine with 350 horsepower.   It is a push-button automatic transmission. It has power steering. power brakes. power windows and a power convertible top.   All instrumentation is functional.

The car has been properly maintained since 1980 and passes New York State inspection every year.   All front end parts are new. all new brakes and the dual master cylinder is from a '67 Imperial. It runs beautifully.   I believe it is the original drive train. All 5 tires are the same (including the spare) and have very low mileage.

Recently replaced the motor mounts and water pump; it has a new transmission filter kit and Lucas transmission fluid.   The gas gauge checks out ok and the sending unit has been replaced. but is questionable. Por15 rust coating was applied underneath.   It has new universal joints (3) and a new carrier bearing on the driveshaft.

The car is available for inspection by the buyer or their duly-authorized representative.   The car can be raised up on a lift at a nearby garage for inspection.
