Racing Morris Mini Sport Sedan 1275cc  1960's

Rational offers welcome. Located Wahroonga Sydney.

Period SS class race car. Not raced since the 90's. Cams books and various papers. Extensive successful racing history.

Body straight and is perfect for a tidy up or a full restoration. Might even make a ferocious street car.   Has quick release fibreglass Clubman nose cone.

Hotted up 1275 closed tappet engine with extensive head work that came out of an overseas imported donor hill climb car. Block cast stamp 12G1279. Block code appears to indicate a Leyland reco many years ago. but is hard to read. Turns over by hand. Hasn't been started in this car. I was told the motor was significantly bored out. however I didn't really believe the owner & I've never had the time to take its head off to verify. Very interested parties are welcome to check/ measure for themselves.

Widened Cooper rims on slicks. Cooper disc brake front end. Quick release steering. Adjustable dampening front shocks. Adjustable front and rear camber. Rubber cone front suspension.   4 link custom rear suspension.   Aluminum drop tank.   Aluminum fully braced roll cage. Riveted manual floor shift style not wand. Has Cooper axles included that were on the shell when I bought it. New engine mounts. Full quick release fibreglass front end. Takes about 30 seconds to remove. Gives total access to motor. steering & chassis. Exact body spec is unknown.   Body has several layers of paint.   It definitely isn't an 'S' as evidenced by only a single filler hole.

Car would suit show days. nostalgic race events. club sprint/ hill climb or possible put it back on the road for weekend joy rides.

Collect within 3 weeks with truck or trailer.   May be able to deliver. but ask first.   I am traveling to Melbourne sometime between the 1st & the 13th.

Pay full amount in 7 days.
