1981 Fully Restored Classic Mini Van
Up for auction is this exceptional example of a classic Mini van
The vehicle has been kept off road since 1996. over the last 18 months the vehicle has been subject to a complete ground up nut and bolt restoration. with absolutely no expense spared
Body :-Virtually every panel has been replaced. using only genuine Heritage panels. all chromework has been replaced with new. no repolishing of old chrome
Engine :-The vehicle is fitted with a 1000cc engine. which has been fully and professionally rebuilt by Moorview Minis. the gearbox was also fully and professionally rebuilt at the same time. as expected the engine starts on the button and runs as sweet as a nut
Subframes :-Both front and rear subframes have been completely stripped. shotblasted and refurbished with all new suspension components
Brakes :-The entire braking system has been replaced with brand new components. from front to rear
Interior :-The interior comes with two brand new bucket seats. oval dash. a full set of brand new carpets will come with the vehicle. these are still boxed and untouched
Paintwork :-The vehicle has been professionally resprayed in black two pack paint with a white roof
Wheels :-The wheels have been stripped and refurbished and come with five brand new tyres
As stated above the restoration of this Mini van has taken me the last 18 months. the van is completely rust free. and is an absolutely superb example of this much sought after classic icon. I have not MOT'd the vehicle. but this has been a deliberate decision as it is kept dry stored and was not intended to be driven on public roads. it would however sail through an MOT due to the standard of the work.
The vehicle is only for sale due to not having the space to keep it. as I am currently restoring a Mini car and a 1962 Mini van
