The 12hp Rover Tourer was launched in 1934 and was part of the new range introduced by the Wilks brothers. It had a new 1496cc. four-cylinder engine producing 53bhp. The chassis was also new but based on the one seen on the 1933 Speed Pilot and was under slung going under the rear axle.
 A top speed of 70mph and economy of 24mpg was claimed in contemporary advertisements. This open tourer cost £288 when new and was a good quality and yet reasonably priced motorcar.
This example is in good all round condition and is coming to the market for genuine reasons from the Channel Islands. Although having been stored in recent years. the car is running but could do with a gentle re-commissioning before full use.
The car has been subject to some lengthy storage in dry conditions. There is a selection of old MOTs and original manual with the car. There is a Channel Islands version of a logbook but no current V5c as of yet. Import duty has been paid on this car.

I am interested in this Rover 12 tourer. I take it it is a 1936 model?
The interior seems to be in vinyl rather than original leather?
Add says some re-commissioning work required, can you advise what this means.
