This 69 Mach I is pretty much the way I bought it in 1999.   I had every intention of restoring it. but with my other projects. I just enjoyed driving it when I could.   In 1999 I began looking for a good solid car to restore.   From my leads. I traveled to Nevada and Arizona.   The five cars I looked at were rotted transplants. and then I found this car.   More pictures can be found here at  the34kid. use. com

This 69 Mach I has disc brakes up front. which I assume was stock.   I did replace the front suspension with a kit.   You can notice this in the pictures taken from the underside.   The motor is a beast and the exhaust headers have a nice rumble to it while just idling.   The rear differential is posi-trac and yes. I checked it out a few times.    It is geared low.   I do not know. but this car may have spent some time at the track.   You can drive the car with hood scoop or pop it off and drop on the shaker.   There is nothing like the look of a shaker.

The rear trunk lid appears to be from a 1970 Mach. but solid tin. just like the passenger side sheet metal.  The rear window louvers appear to be original and in nice condition.   The pan between the tail lights has a few bubbles between the left side lenses.   The fender. door and rear quarter are solid. and I see no evidence of any body plastic or work.   The wheel well lip is solid inside and out.   There is a crease down the rear quarter. which is an easy repair.   The front fender has a crease behind the headlight bucket. but again. not a big deal.   The trim on the nose of the hood is bumped in and the piece on the right side is missing. so both will be needed.   The front bumper needs polish.   The valance pan under the bumper is again. solid tin.

The driver's side front fender is solid tin from top to bottom.   The driver's side door. windshield post and rear quarter have had body work.   I have to guess the car was in an accident at some time. and instead of correctly repairing or replacing. they simply "fixed" it.   I have no idea what the extent of the damage was.   The firewall cowl. the rocker and door framing are solid. with no visible work.   Because the door is solid. no rust or rot on the bottom. I would remove the plastic to see about correctly repairing it.   The rear quarter should be replaced.

The trunk on the passenger side has a few holes in the typical place.   The driver's side is solid.   From the pictures of the trunk. you can see the original blue color of the car.   The rockers panels are solid all around. and again original tin with no body work.   The floor boards are very solid. with the exception of a soft spot on both the driver's and passenger's side. where one's outside heal might be.

I believe the interior is in great original condition.   The dash pad is cracked. but the rest of the dash is really nice looking.   The driver's seat outside lumbar is warn.   The door panels are warn where one would grab to pull the door shut.   The carpet is in nice condition.   The passenger seat and rear folding seat are in great condition.   The headliner is nice as well as the back side panels.   The cardboard sale panels that hold the rear courtesy lights are curled.

I have tried to describe this car to the best of my knowledge.   If I think of anything. I will add to this posting.   Please ask questions. This car is sold AS-IS.
