Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.5) based on 241 votes
This is a rare opportunity to purchase a predominantly original. rust-free. Calypso Coral Boss 302 with the original “matching numbers” engine. This car has been tucked away in a garage for 30 years. I am selling this car for the owner.

The good:

1. The VIN on the dash. the VIN on the fender well. the VIN on the “Buck Tag” and the VIN on the engine block all match.

2. The Marti Report identifies this car as a real Boss 302.

3. As per the Marti Report the car is well equipped with desirable options including: Shaker Four-Speed Close Ratio Manual Transmission. Hood Scoop. Sport Slats. Rear Deck Spoiler. Traction-Lok Differential. Optional Axle Ratio (3. 91:1). Power Steering. Magnum 500 Chrome Wheels. F60X15 Belted Tires w/ Raised White Letters. Tachometer. AM Radio.

4. The indicated mileage is 39. 47 and is believed to be original.

5. The car is virtually rust-free and appears to have all original body panels.

6. Structural components such as the shock towers and torque boxes are in excellent condition.

7. All chrome. stainless and plastic (such as the grille) are in excellent condition.

The bad:

1. The car has been painted once. and the paint shows signs of deterioration. The drivers seat has a tear on the seam.

2. Some modifications have been made including: Wheels. traction bars. ignition. addition of gauges in dash. steering wheel replaced. There may be other modifications.

3. The car has not been registered since 1990 and has been off the road since that time. However. the owner states that the engine ran as recently as 3 years ago. No attempt will be made to start the car for the purposes of this sale.

With a little work the car could be back on the road. Or it would be an ideal candidate for an easy restoration of a rust-free car with the original engine. The car is available for inspection by calling 516-524-4102. I am happy to assist with shipping. The car is also for sale locally. so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.

Several people have written to ask about the absence of the "Shaker Scoop. " It comes with the car. If you scroll through the pictures you will notice that the entire assembly is present in the trunk.
