Vehicle Description:

This beautiful example of a 1957 Chevy 210 hardtop has an incredible history. I purchased the car two years ago from a 75 year old man. He bought the car 42 years ago from the original owner. He told me that back in 1958 when he was 15 years old he worked part time at a service station in Chicago. He pumped gas checked the oil and cleaned customers windows. Well one day a guy pulls into the station with this 1957 black beauty. The young men fell in love with the car and even though there was no way he could afford the Chevy he told the cars owner he would love to buy it. This is where the story gets really interesting. The young man gave the cars owner his phone number and said please let me know if you ever want to sell it. The years passed. The boy became a man served in Vietnam. He came home got married and had children. It's now 1975 his phone rings and it's the guy he gave the number to. He wanted to sell his 1957 Chevy. Although now married with children he really couldn't afford it he somehow found the money and has had it ever since. During the years between 1958 and 1975 the Chevy had a 327 Corvette motor dropped in it. Shortly after I purchased the hardtop I had the car partially disassembled all the chrome and bright work removed the body stripped and professionally painted. All the body panels are rust free and appear to be original to the car. Nearly all the chrome on the Chevy is new. The door and deck lid seals are also new. The interior with the exception of carpet is all original and looks amazing. This 210 looks runs and drives excellent. This is an incredible car with an even more incredible story.
