This 1987 Zimmer Golden Spirit has been well taken care of. These production vehicles were built on a new Ford Mustang with modifications to the body and the frame. They also retained the Ford VIN as the Mustang met all of the US safety features of the time.

Exterior

The Zimmer presents very well. The paint has a nice shine to it. The pin striping on the car is nice but in some spots it has been worn from polishing/cleaning over the years but it is still very presentable. There are a couple of very small spots on the passenger door that have been touched up but are very minimal. There is a chip in the paint on the right rear fender as well. The fiberglass body is very solid and does not appear to have any cracks or damage to it. The chrome is in very nice shape throughout. The Chrome wire wheels are clean and do not have any curb rash. The tires have lots of tread left and were manufactured the 17th week of 2011.

Interior

The interior is in good shape and is very clean. The driver's seat has a bit of wear on the lower outside bolster and the outside bolster on the back support and the leather throughout is clean and in good shape otherwise. The carpets are very clean and do not show signs of wear. Rubber floor mats have been used and has aided in the lack of wear. The dash is in good shape and does not have any cracks. The wood paneling is in good shape. The only problem that I see on the interior is that the headliner has started to sag in the rear section but it is not ripped and is still in good shape. A new sound system was installed with an Eclipse CD player.

Mechanical

The 5. 0 liter Ford engine has just over 36k miles on it. This Zimmer runs and drives great. The engine runs smooth and the vehicle has just passed the California Emissions test. The brakes stop the car as they should and the front has disk brakes while the rear is drum brakes. Air bags have been outfitted in the rear for better driving and comfort. The electrical system seems to be very sound. All of the lights work as they should and the gauges inside the dash all work as they should.
