1973 Dodge Challenger Rallye in really nice condition!  I ended up with this car through an old business partner in a collateral type exchange. I do know the gentleman he got it from. and know for a fact he owned the car for the last 13 or so years and kept it stored inside with his other collection of vehicles.

Ok. nbsp;I don't know any prior history and I'm not a Mopar car guy so my knowledge is limited. I do know that the original 340 motor is gone and it has been replaced with the 383 thats in the car now.  It is NOT a show car. but is more of a nice cruise night type of vehicle.   I don't see any signs of previous wrecks. or frame damage.   Also. it looks really clean underneath (meaning no signs of patch work) but it does look like an original 1973 Challenger that has not been restored.  Also. It seems to have really high gears. as you can cruise at 70 mph at about 1700 rpms's.   I have to say that overall this Challenger is pretty damn nice. the interior looks original and very clean with only a few blemishes. It has the cool console with a Slapstick Shifter and someone has put in some new dash trim parts etc.   It looks like the car originally had A/C. as I can see where the lines head through the firewall to the evaporator and the controls show a/c as well. but the compressor and all the bracketry are long gone.   The car starts and runs great and is very strong (pulls hard with no smoke. no noises) and has a bit of a lope (sounds good) and it appears they did an Edelbrock torker style manifold.   The paint is in pretty good condition with a few little things here and there. but nothing too bad.   I do see signs of the dredded bubbling just below the vinyl top on the rear quarters. but its tiny right now (I tried to show this in the pics)  Also. some of the chrome strips need attention around the grille.

Again. the car is pretty nice. but needs some TLC. you could definitely hop in it right now and go for a cruise/drive. or use this as a very nice solid base to do a cool resto-mod.   I did notice the heater core is not hooked up so I'm assuming it leaks and there is no stereo. but there are some sweet vintage 6x9 speakers in the rear deck. lol.

I know my old business partner did the following:

New Holley 4BBL Carb  (may need jetting)

New Mopar Valve Covers

New Mopar Air Cleaner

New Plugs. Cap and Rotor

New Battery

Fresh oil change

I would recommend that the new owner go through the car and replace all the fluids etc. (remember this car has been stored for 13 years) I will say the previous owner stored it properly. meaning fogged the motor and put it up on stands etc.   Just an FYI the car has been at my shop in SLC for the past 3 months or so. where some of the latest work has been done for my previous business partner and before I took possession of it.   Also. I do have a clean title in hand so the transaction should be pretty easy.

I believe the Challenger could be driven a reasonable distance to it's new home. but if traveling across country I would consider having it shipped just incase of a water pump failure or something like that.   I think the motor. trans. rear end. are in exceptionally good shape and you would have no problem there at all. The tires look new with no cracking or splitting. but I have no clue how old they are.

Feel free to have the car inspected and/or appraised and I will be happy to assist in any way that I can.

I will try and answer any questions. but keep in mind I do not know the history beyond what I have stated here.

Thanks for looking!!!

The Challenger is for sale locally as well.
