SELLER REMARKS
It can be argued that cars like this 1964 Dodge 330 2-door sedan were the first volleys in the horsepower wars of the '60s. Heck. you could spec a full-race engine in one of these and pick it up at the dealer. complete with a (minimal) warranty. Today. their industrial-strength looks always portend impressive power and performance. and it represents a great way to get an unusual piece of muscle for a fraction of the price of its younger siblings.
Viper Red is hardly the kind of color that will keep the cops from noticing that this car is up to no good. but there's no denying that it looks flat-out awesome. Finished to show standards. the 330 bodywork has aged quite well and if you were alive during this time. you will instantly recognize it for what it is: a wolf in wolf's clothing. From the headlights that look like jet engine intakes to the wide hood scoop. this car filling your rear-view mirror will have you instinctively moving out of the way before you've even had a chance to think about it. There's not a lot of chrome or frivolity on this car. it's all business. but what is there has been finished to a very high level that suggests that this car is not just about being a hammer in search of a nail. Tinted windows add an especially sinister look and seem to emphasize the upright greenhouse. which is one of the car's trademark features.
The bright red interior is completely new and expertly restored to better-than-new condition in every way. Bench seats with a 4-speed are the ultimate in industrial-strength chic. and the quality of the work belies this car's affordable original sticker price. The dash is brutally simple and almost devoid of styling. as if it were designed by engineers who didn't care how it looked. just that it worked (which isn't far from the truth). A wide speedo flanked by small round auxiliary gauges handle the vitals. along with a trio of the usual auxiliary instruments under the dash. A Hurst cue ball handles the transmission. and the original AM radio is still in the dash. but you'll never use it after you hear how this sucker sounds. The trunk is truly massive. which probably helps with weight transfer to the rear wheels. and it's completely spotless with no surprises underneath.
Big power comes in the form of a 440 cubic inch V8 topped by an Edelbrock intake and carb. A Lunati cam has enough lift to make this one cackle like it's 1964 all over again. and long-tube headers give it an amazing voice. both at idle and at WOT. Brutally simple under the hood. it's also quite attractive with nice details like the Hemi Orange engine and chrome valve covers. plus a massive aluminum radiator up front. No power steering or brakes (why would you even need them?). but it does have a new alternator and a rust-free chassis. The suspension is stock. but looks slightly lowered for the perfect stance. and period Torque Thrusts are always the right choice and are wrapped in staggered BFG rubber.
Fast and handsome in its own brutal way. this is the car that your mother warned you about. Call today!
