1979 CORVETTE 5. 7V8 REG ETO 205T

This car was sourced for a CCCUK member by one of the UK's leading importers     of the marque. The colour is Code 59 which is super rare Corvette Light Biege. the  interior is Doeskin. This is one of only 2951 in this colour. This combination is classic and really stands out amongst the rest.

I have spoken to the previous owner and when brought in some 3 years ago to the best of his knowledge this was a one owner Florida car from new. The mileage is showing a mere 22. 00 miles which may very well be correct. Lacking in history Stateside. although the US Title is still with the car. the whole car simply looks like the mileage is right. The car has quite possibly the best C3 engine bay in the UK today. exactly as it left GM. The bulk of the paint work appears to be original and still in virtually showroom condition. This car is a true Survivor in every sense of the word. The CCCUK member has now left the country for pastures anew .

BODY. Straight as a dye. with none of the usual micro blistering. crazing etc. Excellent gaps throughout. All weather seals are OK. and again they could even be the originals. Both headlamps operate as they should. straight up and down. Front bib still in place. Factory alloys in magnificent condition and even the lug nuts and centre caps are all superb. All rims are shod with a period set of Stateside lettered tyres which. although in top condition. also support the belief that this mileage is correct.

INTERIOR. Simply superb. what more can I say? All the carpets to the front and rear are mint as are the over rugs. The door panels are superb as are the arm rests. and again they could very well be the originals. Both seats have just had new doeskin covers from Corvette America. These were fitted only due to one seam being unstiched to the driver's base. and it was a hard decision to renew. The car has had a burr walnut trim kit to the dash and centre console for most of it's life and that is still virtually as new. All clocks. dials. gauges. vanity lights. overhead light. everything working as it should. Even the central locking is still working from both door switches and both electric windows operate straight up and down with none of the usual rattles or wobbles.   The carpets behind the seats and to the compartment lids are all in top condition and again appear to be all original. All the factory original seat belts are still in place. Comes with matching coloured leather envelopes for T roof storage.

MECHANICS. Number matching of course. on the key. starts first time every time and ready to go. Recent new side terminal battery. Strong engine which you would expect and absolutely stock. Stainless steel brakes throughout plus a recent exhaust system with stainless boxes etc. The complete underside of the car is in the very best of conditions. all dry. drip free and not welded. The car has done little mileage since it's last MOT.
