Want some incredible Mopar muscle? Want it at price that doesn't require choosing between wheels and a home? Well. as the old saying goes "Car culture starts where the assembly line stops". And when authentic. numbers-matching cars start to price themselves into museums. enthusiasts begin to fill the void with creations like this killer 1970 Challenger. Fresh out of a frame-up restoration that wrapped an era-correct drivetrain in vivid Pearl Orange paint. this Dodge packs a fresh look that'll turn heads and earn respect everywhere it goes. If you've always dreamed of owning a storied Mopar muscle car but don't want to re-finance your house to get it. this fully sorted Challenger is the perfect solution!

When walking around most car shows. it's easy to understand why Chrysler's High Impact colors were. and still are so popular. While there's no doubt that Top Banana Yellow or Plum Crazy Purple suit these cars well. there is something to be said about modern finishes like this Challenger's intense Pearl Orange. With a perfect and seamless blend of glow and metallic layering. it equips this stellar E-body with a custom look that vintage muscle car varnishes simply can't touch. Naturally. that paintwork is first rate and looks great from every angle. with accurate reflections all around. And while it may strike some Mopar enthusiasts as strange to see a Challenger that looks more 'So Cal' than 'Motor City'. the car's square-jawed. Auburn Hills roots still shine brightly.

Thanks to a high quality. frame-up restoration. this Challenger presents much better than it did when it left Chrysler's storied Dodge Main manufacturing facility. At the front of the car. a 1970-exclusive grille hangs a bright "Challenger" script between upgraded headlights. clear parking lamps and a mirror-like bumper. At the top of the car. a sporty twin-scoop hood shines in front of like-new glass that's framed by fresh stainless trim and capped by a black vinyl top. At the sides of the car. prominent profile lines hang additional "Challenger" scripts and flush. body-matched door handles between dent-free rocker trim and small. body-matched racing mirrors. And at the back of the car. a stainless-trimmed valence hangs a fourth "Challenger" script and clear tail lights between a small trunk spoiler. a second mirrored bumper and thoroughly polished exhaust tips.

While you could option Chrysler pony cars all the way up to 440 cubic inches. many enthusiasts believed. and still believe. the best E-Bodies are small block E-Bodies. And. as if it to channel the AAR ancestors that pioneered Chrysler's small block mindset. this Challenger currently sports a hot 340 cubic inch V8. At the top of the 1972 block. a polished and ball milled air cleaner funnels wind into a giant Holley 4-barrel that's centered on a coated Edelbrock Performer RPM intake. At the sides of that intake. familiar Edelbrock Performer RPM heads hang polished Mopar Performance valve covers over coated long-tube headers. Behind those headers. an MSD Pro-Billet distributor sequences fire between an MSD 6AL box. a chrome covered coil and black MSD Super Conductor plug wires. In front of those wires. an attractive billet accessory drive spins a modern power steering pump below a chrome Powermaster alternator and chrome AC compressor. And in front of that compressor. a polished Be Cool radiator sends water past a polished overflow tank via trick billet clamps and pliable hoses. Aesthetically. the bright orange mill provides an excellent complement to the car's smooth. Pearl Orange engine bay. And details like billet breathers. silver hood hardware and an upgraded master cylinder help create a detailed. show worthy engine bay.

In 1970. if you were a true car guy. the only transmission you wanted in your Challenger was a factory-issued 4-speed. And the tough A833 in this cool coupe can turn even the most mundane errands into a clutch slammin'. gear grindin' good time! Naturally. that high performance drivetrain feeds a fully rebuilt front torsion bar and rear leaf suspension that's shackled to a correct power steering system and a rebuilt 8. 75-inch rear end. Cool and confident stops are provided by correct power front disc and rear drum brakes. Exhaust flows down the center of the car through true-dual pipes that run into deep turbo mufflers and polished. square tips. Above that impressive hardware. solid floors exchange the polished. over-restored look of typical Mopar restorations for a proper layer of tough undercoating. At the corners of those floors. chrome Cragars spin 235/45ZR17 Nitto NT555s in front of 255/45ZR18 Nitto NT555s. And fresh shocks. leak-free lines. and a clean gas tank ensure this Chrysler has the reliability to match its warm appeal.

Sit down inside this great looking Dodge and you'll find a new vinyl interior that's accented with tasteful modifications and just the right amount of brightwork. The first thing you'll notice is the car's aftermarket. racing-style seats which feature comfortable pleats on top of straight frames and new foam. The second thing you'll notice is new black carpet which is protected by color-keyed and "Challenger" branded floor mats. And the third thing you'll notice is a custom console which plants a traditional pistol grip shifter in front of large Audiobahn speakers. At the sides of the car. full door panels rotate fresh chrome handles below billet window cranks. At the front of the car. a great looking dash seals green-lit Auto Meter NV gauges behind a custom instrument panel and remote-controlled Sony Xplod CD player. At the back of the car. a professionally finished trunk hangs two big subwoofers above a "Challenger" branded pan. And in front of the driver. a polished steering wheel mixes a whole lot of form with a whole lot of function.

Fully sorted and ready to cruise. this impressive Challenger is a refreshing take on its High Impact siblings. With era-correct power. a classic driving experience and killer looks. it's the kind of car that'll have you thanking yourself with every walk to the garage. Are your ready to experience one of the hottest creations of the muscle car era? Your Mopar is waiting!
