Rotisserie Restoration! Number Matching -  440 Six Pack 

If you’re like me. a true gear-head there's so many exciting aspects about this car I don't even know where to begin. do I talk about the most essential component of the car the 440-6 barrel. or do I talk about some of the options it came with from the factory. The numbers all matching is very important. but so is the rotisserie restoration?
Oh well. for the sake of being original I'm going to start with the Sassy Green color. nbsp;code-name 2259.  According to Wikipedia the definition of sassy is lively. bold. and full of spirit. I couldn't say it better myself. According to documentation this was one of the first Road Runner's to be painted from the factory in color 225.  the color wasn't offered on Road Runners until 1971. The interesting thing is this car color is known much better for its die-cast models than anything else. If you search the web the color is extremely popular. how cool it would be to have this car sitting in your garage with the diecast model hanging on the wall. right above it!  The car has a fresh rotisserie restoration from a Mopar specialist. who has been doing these Mopers for over 22 years. and their experience is shown on this example right down to the smallest detail. it’s accurate beyond belief. Rotisserie restorations Is a term that gets thrown around quite a bit. But what does it really mean? In the restoration world the only thing that comes in mind is a lot more money and a lot more work. The only way to justify the additional effort and funding that is required. is that the sole purpose of the project is to have the car done to the highest level and the budget not being the main concern. The cost of doing such a restoration is a minimum of $100. 00.  The reason we use a rotisserie is so that we can position the car in much better angles. it also allows us to see every little detail. and gives a better platform to work from. making the quality come out to a much higher level. It's hard to produce the same results having the car sit in one fix position. trying to work around a lift or having to roll under the car. The other big difference is your removing almost every nut and bolt. and anyone that knows about vintage car restoration knows the more you remove the more repairs you are going to fine. Needless to say this process is not for the light hearted.
Some of the cool features that stand out for me on this car are the firm ride shock absorbers. HEMI torsion bars. longitudinal sport stripe with the dust trail. The rally road wheels with trim ring.  powered disc brakes And last but not least the 440 6 barrel which produced 420 brake horsepower.
All of the numbers have been verified by the legendary Galen Govier. Which is safe to say he is the man when it comes to Mopar.
