1976 Toyota FJ55, Original 85k Miles

 1976 Toyota FJ55. Bone stock. original 85. 80 miles.
 Basically a California One Owner truck before me. I got it from the Grandson of the Original Purchaser.
 It has had recent maintenance. tires tune etc. Past CA smog last week with no trouble. I have last three smog reports. It has both original CA blue plates (mint).
 It runs and drives excellent. 4 seep Transmission. I would not hesitate to drive it cross country as is. It has good oil pressure. no smoke ever. idles smooth. Good oil pressure. I understand now why these are so collectable. They are a pleasure to drive and a real billy goat even they they are nicknamed the "Iron Pig. "
 4 Wheel drive work perfectly. It shifts nice and smooth and clutch is strong. It cruises on the flats at 65-70 comfortably. but I wouldn't push it over that.  
 This truck has spent its life local to me between Sacramento and Tahoe. It does well on the hills too. One of the advantages to the later models of these 55 Series. It is also the first year for front disc brakes.
 It goes down the road nice and straight with no squeaks or rattles. It feels very solid and has front and rear sway bars the really help you feel secure in the turns.
 All the lights and gauges are working good. In fact everything works. Including the power rear window. both from the key and the dash switch. Front and rear heat.
 Dig out out your Fleetwood Mac Cassette because it too works.
 Body is cherry with original paint. These are known for rust and this one is about as good as they come. But it does have blistering at the bottoms of both front fenders (see photographs). Both rear corners have dents. Sides are super straight. I have pictured in detail the areas these rust and this one is solid. I also have a photo album with nearly 100 detailed photos. just ask for the link. Paint is thin on the top as seen in photos. Overall still very presentable. And honestly originals in this shape are so hard to find I would not restore it . but rather preserve it.  
 The windshield has a couple of stars that have not spread. all other glass is great. no cracks. Floor mats are excellent. still soft rubber with no wear or tears. amazing really.
 Front seat has tears in seams on drivers side. otherwise good. Rear seat is excellent. Dash has cracks on top.  
 Warn Hubs. 4x4 works perfect and is fun to drive.  
 It has it original tool kit. complete. including working trouble light that plugs in under hood. Original Jack and handles.  Original manuals included as well.

 I does do 70 fairly easy. I may have been generous saying it would cruise at that. It is more comfortable at 60-62 MPH. But will accelerate without much trouble to 70 to pass.
 Also The reason for sale is to get an FJ40 Pre-smog. Though this does have current CA smog vert. passed last week.
