1960 Austin Healey Frogeye Sprite Mark 1 Fully Restored to Original Condition

Advertised For Sale Is one of the most well restored 1960 Mark 1 Austin Healey Frogeye Sprite currently available. he car has an original recorded mileage of 44200 miles. have quite a lot of the original MOT certificates and the original Logbook plus parts receipts from A. H. Spares for the restoration. The Car is MOTd for 12 months and taxed for 10 months.

All Healights and side lights bezels are new old Lucas Stock including The Headlamp Bezels(not cheap Far East Rubbish). The Car is painted in its Original Leaf Green Colour.

The difference with this Frogeye is that it has been restored using mostly Old New Stock Parts such as  a new Bakelite Lucas Distributor Cap and Distributor. n old new stock heater box and numerous other original new old stock parts. The old new stock parts took me 2 years to locate and I wasn't happy until I located them. ront and rear bumpers have been professionally restored and rechromed. I even found a Brand New Old Stock Smiths Tacho Drive in its original Box from a dealer in the USA!!

The Car comes with a little used spare Smooth Cased “Gold Seal”Gearbox (the  car has the later ribbed gear box fitted and also a Carcoon to house the car in). The 1 1/8 inch Carburettor's  and Filters are original(not repro filters)and have been fully professionally restored. The 948cc Engine is the original and the car comes with its original Log Book and a lot MOT Certificates showing the recorded mileage.

The original 948cc Engine has been rebuilt and oil pressure and water temperature are spot on. the car comes with a new fitted stainless steel exhaust.

There is a new hood. onneau cover . riginal Sprite Tool Kit. ith a King Dick Wheel Ratchet(very rare)the side screens were reconditioned by A. H. Spares. here is even an Original New Old Stock Frogeye Horn !!!

The Windscreen is new as is all the running gear brakes. ipes. etrol pipe. tc. he body work has been totally professionally restored with new original old stock panels where necessary. his car has an old new stock White Tudor Screen Wipe Push Button mechanism. his almost if not impossible to source!!!!

My Frogeye is not concourse but a well restored driveable example so please note I have wax oiled the internal and external body  construction although you can see the restoration as I have used clear wax oil.

As you can see from the seating and dash all dials and steering wheel plus horn push are original specification. ven the original wing mirror lights up(the car has been totally rewired using a new loom and accessories).
