JS23U real 440 Magnum - 4 speed R/T - now has a Six Pack - numbers matching - RT

JS23U -- real 440 4bbl Magnum RT. not a clone. Six Pack added by me.

If this was a Six Pack Challenger. the 5 position in the VIN would be a “V” not a “U”.

So this is a Numbers Matching 440 4bbl R/T Challenger but currently has the six pack carburetor setup on the car

- The numbers on the motor. transmission. dash vin. cowl. and radiator support all match.   I have pictures available to show these numbers on the different components to an interested buyer.

- There is no buildsheet.   Fender data tag is a reproduction tag. not the original tag.

- Original numbers matching 440 motor is stored in my heated garage on an engine cradle. The original motor ran strong and had no issues when removed from the car at the start of the restoration process. I chose not to install the original motor for safekeeping.

440 motor currently in the car now was professionally rebuilt by a local engine builder:
- 1972 440 block same casting numbers as a 1970 block. bored . 030 over
- CompCams camshaft: XE268H part #21-223-4
- CompCams adjustable rocker arm kit #1321
- Stock 906 heads no porting
- Stock exhaust manifolds
- New Dual 2. 5 in exhaust with dynomax super turbo mufflers
- True calculated compression ratio: 9. 9:1
- Runs great on 93 octane pump gas. no pinging

Original hemi 4-speed transmission -- professionally rebuilt

New DTS Dana 60 rear with 3. 54 rear

Hemi-orange paint with black leather interior

Many hours were spent wet-sanding and buffing the paint for a show quality finish.

The entire car has all new electrical wiring using YearOne wiring harnesses

Dash. Gauges. steering wheel. seat belts were sent out and professionally restored

All new interior. headliner. seats. carpet. vinyl roof. R/T side and hood stripes

All exterior stainless steel molding and trim was polished and buffed

All new window glass

New: brakes. leaf springs. tires. clutch. gas tank. water pump. fuel pump. starter. rubber seals. NOS gas cap. battery. Glen Ray 26" radiator. fuel sending unit. coil. alternator. electronic ignition. heater core. shocks. lug nuts. door handles. original wheels restored. too much to list!

I installed a rev limiter hidden under the dash set at 5200 RPM's to protect the motor. You can change this easily to whatever RPM's you would like in less than 10 seconds.

I purchased the car in Maryland in November 2006. Condition was a very nice driver quality. I drove the car a lot for about a year and then did a complete restoration.

This car was completely disassembled. stripped to bare metal. and professionally restored. Restoration was completed in the summer of 2008. Since the completed restoration the car has approximately 2. 00 miles now and everything works and all the bugs have been worked out. The car drives and runs beautifully. There is nothing wrong with the car nor does anything need to be replaced or repaired (AM radio turns on but does not pickup any stations). Everything about this car is show quality. I have all the receipts and pictures from the restoration.

You will notice that I also installed an aftermarket temperature and oil pressure gauge in the car right below the radio. This way I could closely monitor the temp and oil pressure. All the factory gauges work along with these after-market gauges at the same time. If you would not want to keep the after-market gauges. they can be easily removed.

I do have a clean and clear title in my possession.  

If for some reason you would not want both engines. and want the original numbers matching motor installed. I would be glad to have that done for you.
