Television built Copo Camaro. This is a 1969 Camaro that was built by musclecar/power lock television. The full build is still available for review online. . There is absolutely everything documented on the car from the original protecto plate all the way upincluding all the owners and receipts up to present day. This is absolutely the best documented car you could find. Everything was done frame off. Underbody is fully coated. hand build upgraded Muncie four-speed. full custom exhaust. ceramic coated headers. special edition 427. 12 bolt rear end. 4:10 gears with posi. disk brake conversion. full electronic gauges. custom aluminum crossmember for transmission. Barrett Jackson specialty paint etc. everything that was done on the car is step-by-step shown in the DVDs. Car comes a special documentation from the television company. GM special edition jacket that came with the engine. special edition plaque etc. I was told the original donor car cost $25. 00. Stored in a climate controlled garage. The car currently has just under 1500 miles but is driven weekly and this number will go up. One of the finest examples in the US. It comes with six DVDs. full documentation. GM took the original Copo Camaro block and re-cast 427 special edition engines. Receipt from GM shows the engine block at $32k itself. They kept the first and the last one and gave the television show number 426 and told them to build a Copo camaro around it. I do not know of any mechanical problems with the car. It starts first crank and I drive it at least once a week. Legal stuff- car is been described to the best of my abilities. Anything that I missed or that was inaccurate was purely an accident and not malicious on my part. This is a wonderful car that I enjoy and I hope somebody else will feel the same way. There is absolutely no warranty given or expressed. I would highly recommend a visual and mechanical inspection prior to purchase. Full payment will be made by wire transfer only. Funds must clear before title is released. I have a clear title in hand. There is one set of keys for the car. I can help get the car to any shipper that you like or meet them at a reasonable time keeping in mind I work during the day. The vehicle is built to drive and I do drive it so the mileage on the picture described will go up over time. Search power block television Copo Camaro build and you will be able to see multiple videos of the build. Email with any questions or if you would like a video of the car running. From the transmission maker- Thats an Auto Gear M23 with the gear ratios (2. 20 1st / 1. 64 2nd / 1. 27 3rd / 1. 00 4th). It has a 27-spline OUTPUT shaft. which is correct for the era of the car. allowing all the OEM pieces like console. shifter. crossmember and driveshaft assembly to be used). We used a stronger. later model 26 clutch spline input that has an oilseal (The OEM transmission has no oilseal; only a nut with an oilslinger). It uses a multi-piece cluster gear (we call it a modular cluster gear) which allows for greater strength. and the ability to replace pieces of the cluster gear opposed to the whole item. The Auto Gear "Super Case" is 356-T6 aircraft grade aluminum. with thicker ears. a thicker front wall and a hardened steel thrust button to keep the cluster gear from moving fore and aft. The Auto Gear nodular iron midplate is much stronger than the OEM casting (which is aluminum). The Auto Gear tailhousing is 356 aluminum and has better oil drainage. and extra ribbing to stiffen it. The Auto Gear sidecover is 319 aluminum. has reinforcements. a wider mounting surface. more accurate shift arm bores. a stiffer spring. USA made shifter detents and levers AND caged needle bearings for more accurate shifting and longer lifespan. The geartrain is manufactured to Auto Gear prints by Euroricambi or their subsidiary Antonio Masiero. both in Bologna. Italy. The M23 1st gear is 4-times stronger than the M22 design. The Synchronizers are produced from forgings in Italy and are tighter fitting. properly heat treated and plug quenched to ensure roundness. We used forged bronze synchronizer rings. and name brand seals and bushings throughout. We use sealed ball bearings for less drag. and longer bearing life. All the castings were made and machined in America. as was the gasket set. cast steel "full engagement" shift forks and all the parts in the sidecover. The car was originally assembled with a Hurst Comp + shifter and a Hays 26-spline clutch. The gearbox in the car was assembled by Phil Hudson at Auto Gear here in Syracuse NY.
