1989 Ferrari 328 GTS for sale
Current customer rating: (153 votes ) based onThis particular Ferrari is one of very the last 328's ever made!California car with all books. records. and toolkit. Extremely rare color! (many times more rare than red. black. etc)Impeccable service history. Investment quality with only about 18. 9k miles. Platinum First Place Concours award winner from Ferrari Club of America Pacific Region (Vintage Concours at Concorso Italiano)You won't find another one with all these attributes for any price anywhere in the world which makes this a one of a kind Ferrari.
The current mileage is 18. 08 and this car has an impeccable service history. As you can see below. within the past 500 miles or so. this car has had a major (engine out) service (which was about $8k) as well as a full inspection and about $4. 00 worth of improvements and a minor service in 2016:
Feb 2016 at 18. 27 miles: A complete inspection of the car was done at Ferrari of San Francisco (this is less than 100 miles ago) which resulted in recommended upgrades and service costing about $4. 00. It included: alternator belt replaced. license plate light bulb replaced. bonnet and engine lid gas struts replaced. oil and filter changed. heater valve replaced. etc.
Jan 2012 at 18. 98 miles: Around $8k on major engine out service.
This 1989 Ferrari 328 GTS is in exceptional condition. The low original miles. rare blue color and meticulous maintenance of this Ferrari makes it ideal for collectors who want an investment quality classic. With a very high serial number of 82959. this is one of the last 328's ever produced (83136 was the last one and I have been told that mine is one of the last 20 Ferrari 328GTS models ever made) and this adds to the collectibility and investment quality of this car. Due to its excellent condition. this Ferrari 328GTS is an award winner as it has won the Platinum Concours Award from the Vintage Concours in Woodland Hills. California.
This car includes all books. tools. service records since new. both keys. and a clean carfax report (no accidents). The service records are carefully organized in a binder according to chronological order. This car comes with a built-in trickle charger which makes it easy to maintain. This is an investment quality car due to it being a 1989 model. a concours award winner. one of the last 328's ever produced. and because of the extremely low miles and proper service history since it was new. All of these factors and the very rare blue metallic paint make this a truly special car. This car had a full pre-purchase inspection at Ferrari of San Francisco in 2016. It was also serviced at that time and all recommendations by Ferrari of SF were authorized and completed at the dealership to ensure the proper maintenance of this Ferrari. (I can text copies of service records to serious buyers) It is ready for a new buyer to enjoy.
Please do not contact me or agree to buy the car unless you are a serious buyer who can and will complete the purchase. There are some 1988 Ferrari 328GTS models that are currently priced between about $100k to $140k but these are in far more common red and black colors. plus the 1988 is not as valuable as the 1989 model. There are currently no blue 1989 328GTS models for sale on Ebay (or anywhere else in the world that I could find) and I have not seen one with less than 19k miles for sale anywhere in all the years I have been collecting cars.
The factors that create a premium for my car is the very. very rare blue color. the meticulous maintenance. the extremely low miles. the fact it won a Platinum Concours Award. and the fact it was one of the very last 328GTS models to have ever been built. I have not ever seen a 1989 Ferrari 328 GTS in blue with all of these attributes and this car ticks all of the boxes for a collector who wants an investment quality Ferrari. If you do not value all of these attributes. then this is not the right Ferrari for you. This Ferrari is a special and rare car and it is obviously not for someone who wants a cheap driver in red or black and with significantly more miles. I have priced this car at $185k. but I am willing to consider serious offers. so make me an offer I can't refuse. I love this car and I want it to go to a great home.
This car was designed when Enzo Ferrari was still alive. and when Ferrari was making the legendary gated shifter. These cars are relative bargains now and should start to significantly increase in value as the predecessor model did which is the Ferrari 246GTS Dino. They are obviously not making any more of these and this model is becoming very hard to find. especially with only about 18. 9k miles. Furthermore. the 1989 model is the most refined. most desirable and most valuable to collectors due to a number of refinements including ABS brakes. In Europe. these cars cost about twice as much as they do here and many Europeans are buying these cars in the US and shipping them back. In the long run. this car will appreciate in value. If China ever relaxes restrictions on importing classic cars. this and other cars could surge in value.
This model is much rarer than many people realize. Only 1089 328GTS models were produced in 1989 (see link below) and very few were made in blue. Even fewer have less than 19k miles and are Platinum Concours awarded:

The February 2015 issue of Hemmings call the 328 the perfect 1980's supercar to buy now and says its a surefire collectible. This article also says that with current prices at $150k (or more) for top examples. even that will soon look cheap. (see link below)

The Ferrari 328GTS was the #1 car picked by Haggerty's "10 Old Cars Turning into collectible classics in 2015" (see link below)

A very low mileage 1989 Ferrari 328 GTS sold at RM Auctions in 2014 for about $260. 00 (it had about 250 miles) and prices have gone up since (see link below):

These cars are not depreciating in value. in fact they are going up and are potentially poised for very big gains in the coming years. If you buy a new Porsche for over $100k. you can watch it depreciate to about $35k over the next 10 years. I think a classic car like this makes a lot more sense financially because it is likely to rise in value. and it is much rarer than a 911. In 10 years or so. a top example 328 GTS could follow the same price trajectory as the model it replaced: A top. award winning and low mileage example of the 246 GTS can go for about $500k.
I reserve the right to end this listing early. There is no warranty or guarantee that comes with the sale of this car.
