Being a true Chevy guy I use to scoff at all the hoopla from the Mopar crowd who talked up these cars. All they could talk about was Hemi this and Hemi that. Being that I was always partial to small block cars. it would take something with a little less displacement and alot more rpm to impress me. Well. I have met my match. Hearing the beautiful sound out of a 340 made me grin from ear to ear. This 1972 Dodge Challenger is up for sale at Blad Boys Muscle Cars and it's the real deal. Not only is it a documented 340. 4 speed but it can run with the best of them. Watch out Big Block Mustangs and Camaros. Here comes a screaming small block Mopar to ruin your day. This beautiful Challenger is of high quality from top to bottom. Going through a fresh restoration in the end of the last decade. she shows like a champ while being driven. No. this car didn't sit in a garage under a cover. she get's put through it's paces on the road. Mind you. she has never seen rain and was only taken out when the weather would allow. The blue exterior of this car is in top notch condition and doesn't show any kind of road wear or chips. There is a very small ding on the top of the hood that any dent removal professional could extract. The interior is completely restored and new down to the center console which holds that infamous pistol grip shifter. Under the hood sits that freshly built 340 I was talking about. There is a ton of detail in the engine compartment and shows like new. The car is exhausted by dual mufflers and has that intense growl when idling and accelerating. Like the song goes. " This car was made for driving and that's just what I'll do". Maybe those were boots.
