You are bidding on a 1969 Lotus Elan Type 45 S3 model.   This is one of the most original. unmolested Lotus Elans I've seen.   It has never undergone any attempt at a restoration other than the previous owner's stripping off the original paint in preparation for a repaint back in the ‘80s that never happened.  (It appears to me that the original paint color was white. )

The car has been in indoor storage since the late ‘80s.  The engine is not frozen and will turn over.   It still has both of the original. rare. 40DCOE18 carbs on it that it came with from the factory.   The original air box attached to the carbs and the original air cleaner mounted in front of the radiator are also still there.  

Although there is some surface rust on the frame. I didn't see any evidence of rust out in this area.

I expect payment within 5 days of the end of the auction.  The car can be picked up after your check has cleared my bank. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.  Buyer will be given a Bill of Sale and the New Jersey Title I received when I bought the car.
