1939 Ford Deluxe 4dr Convertible

Vintage Autohaus & Imports is proud to present this 1939 Ford Deluxe 4dr Convertible. The car is a very nice older restored convertible that still retains a great original look with light modifications. The charging system has been upgraded to a 12 volt system with a battery disconnect switch. An aftermarket air conditioning system has been installed and blows cold. The fuel system has been upgraded to an electric fuel pump.

The engine codes out as a 1938 221ci iron head 24 stud Flathead V8. The engine compartment is detailed very nice. The engine runs great and does not smoke. The 3 speed Series 78 top loader transmission is tight and shifts great with no grinding through any of the gears. The rear end is solid with no noise. The frame rail is very solid and still retains the matching vin number.

The interior was redone in the restoration and shows very well and in good condition with one minor repair in the passenger side front seat back. The dash is in great condition. The banjo steering wheel is in good condition with slight patina. The convertible top was redone in the restoration and is in good condition with 3 small tears about 2-3 inches. The body on the 39 is very solid and straight with some minor repairs done over the years. I have not found any major bondo or panel repairs for rust. The floor was replaced during the restore and is solid. The paint is in good condition with some minor chips. It is not cracking or checking and is deep in a high gloss.

With limited production this Ford is a great driver. Load the family up and enjoy a beautiful day of driving a nostalgic Henry Ford automobile.
