Due to a non-paying bidder. I'm going to try this again. grrrr.   This is a good looking. good running. high mileage vehicle.   It doesn't smoke. it doesn't use any oil. it just goes and goes.   I bought it about 15 years ago.   It sat for 8 years prior to that.   I got it going and drove it a couple of years. and then did a little body work and painted it.   Thinking of it as a two year paint job. I gave the car to my son who then took it to Florida. where he works. After a couple of years. I got the car back and went through the interior. seat covers. carpet. dash cover. (these dashboards are terrible about cracking and deteriorating). and after 3 or 4 years of all-day-in-the-sun-in-the-parking lot-at-Disney World the dash cover has shriveled up and is trying desperately to get out of the sun (notice around the glove compartment). so a new one of those would be in order.   The rest of the interior is still very nice.

In December I drove it from Orlando back to Oklahoma. 1200 miles. without ANY problems. although it WAS somewhat of an adventure!.   there's lots of road noise. unbelievably. there's no cup holder(?!). nbsp; the cruise control doesn't work. no instrument lights. your foot gets wet driving in the rain. no working AC (tinted windows help). no working radio. (some short in the wiring). nbsp; the left turn signal canceller doesn't work. etc. (however. the instrument lights did come back on once I got back to Oklahoma and made a stop at the grocery store).   but those little idiosyncrasies are all fixable and are all the things that make owning and driving a good-looking 36-year-old  280. (sometimes called a Japanese Corvette) . that much more challenging and fun to drive.

Just before returning the car to Oklahoma. a new clutch kit was installed and while it was apart. some leaky seals replaced.   The 4-wheel disc brakes will literally stop the car on a dime. and the fronts were completely redone (calipers. hoses. etc. ) within the past year. Car is currently in the shop for pads on rear brakes. The tires are still good. Glass is all good. power windows go up and down. (and although there's a small rock ding in the windshield. it's a small one that can be filled).   I never have replaced the u-joints. so I'm sure they'll need looking at.   All this car really needs is some attention to a bunch of little things. and none of them will really keep you from cruising!

I'm getting too old and I have too many cars to look after. so this one has to go.   This is a get-in-it-and-drive-home vehicle. (albeit an 'adventure'. but nonetheless quite fun).   Lots of work has been done do it. it's a good looking. good running antique vehicle. with lots of service left in it.   My mechanic says these cars are 'unbreakable' if you don't let them overheat. and keep the oil clean. and changed regularly. I've gone to my bottom dollar for the opening bid. with NO RESERVE.   And. by God. if the car doesn't sell. I'll put it up on blocks and try this again in ten years.
