This BCA award winning 1965 Buick Gran Sport was restored/created at Paintworks Unlimited in Dover. New Hampshire. Paintworks Unlimited performs top notch classic car restorations of all makes and models but specializes in 1965-1972 Buicks. We are active Buick owners. enthusiasts. club members and have restored dozens of award winning classic Buicks from this era. A professional appraisal of this car from Paintworks is available upon request and pictures chronicling the detailed restoration process can be seen on our company website in the gallery section. I encourage you to research the companies' reputation and work.

The car is a true 1965 Gran Sport 4-speed. Being a non-numbers matching car we decided to build it as ‘mild custom' or ‘resto-mod' rather than going for an all original restoration. The aesthetic is stock appearing at first glance with a custom-drag feel that is well executed and not overdone but makes a very unique statement.

With a T-10 four speed manual shift. 1965 401 nailhead. electric exhaust dumps. steel 15" wheels w/ poverty caps. power disc front brakes and power steering. this car is a nice blend of modern street-able convenience. hot rod drag racer and classic vintage muscle car. Rear end is a 12 bolt posi with 3. 36 gears. Every inch of the car is new or restored. It received a complete and extremely detailed full frame-off restoration. The quality of the work and styling earned this car a first place win in the Mild Modified Division at the 2011 Buick Club of America national meet in Danvers. Massachusetts.

Please don't hesitate to reach out with questions or if you would like a copy of the appraisal. I'm happy to answer any questions or to give a Skype or Facetime tour of the car or arrange a time to view it in person. NOTE: We do not have the original title for this car in hand. A title is not required in NH for classic cars. When an NH car with no title is to be sold out of state. we acquire a VIN verification form (signed by a police officer) along with a copy of the NH statute that explains why no title is needed for cars of a certain age in this state. These two items should allow you to register the car in your state and also apply for a title there. We've sold classic cars this way in the past. Please check with your state DMV however to confirm. This is a real GS with the correct boxed frame. All 65 Gran Sport's have a Skylark VIN as the GS was not designated as it's own model with it's own VIN until '66.
