1967 Chevrolet Corvette

Up for auction is a # matching 1967 corvette which my father has owned since 1983. He had a corvette specialist in the area check the car when he first bought it and he confirmed it is a true # matching car. The only things that are not original are the headers. carburetor. air cleaner. master cylinder and tires and wheels. This is a 327/300 hp 4 speed car. The car was always garaged ever since he owned it and maybe saw rain a few times. The frame is in excellent condition. not all rusty. The engine runs excellent. It does not smoke. over heat. tick. and idles well. It does have a mild cam that was previously installed and sounds great with the headers. The brakes are weak. You have to pump them up to stop. The transmission shifts perfect. no crunching or noises. The rear end is not noisy. I looked in all corners of the car underneath and I didn't see any previous repair work. Ever since he obtained the car there has been no collision or paint work done to it and the cam was already installed.

The paint does have chips. is checked in places. and does have scratches in it. It doesn't look bad in the pics but it is there. If you want to win car shows. it will need paint. If you want a driver. a little touch up paint on the chips and it is presentable. The carpets are 50 years old and could use replaced. The seats and door panels are in the same condition. The headliner is sagging. It does have power windows which currently are not working but I can probably fix before it is sold. All lights. turn signals. wipers. heater. radio. dome lamp. 4 ways work. The headlamps have been left up for years as they started to go up and down very slow so he left them up. They will probably have to be put down manually. Reverse lamp does not work. Speedo and clock. do not work. Temp. tach. oil. fuel. and amp meter all work. E brake cable is broke. Does all of this stuff need fixed to have a nice driver? No. All of the glass is in excellent condition. The chrome is pretty decent. The stainless molding are in good shape. The exhaust is leaking in the rear. One muffler and one pipe. The front tires are dry rotted and were on it since he bought it. The rears were replaced about 25 years ago. So it needs at least 2 tires. Rears don't look bad. I am trying to honestly represent the car. If you have any questions please contact me and I will answer your questions. This car does not need much to be a reliable driver. Because of the brakes being soft and the front tires you will need to trailer it home. Other than that you can drive it. We are running the auction for the full week. UNLESS you have a 58 preferably or 59-60 corvette to trade. He wants a complete running car with minimal work to be drivable. NO CARS IN BOXES!!!! NO RUSTY FRAMES!!!! Paint and some mechanical not a problem. We will add money to get a nice car and will subtract for a less than equal value trade. We have looked at a few and know the values. It does not have to be a # matching car. No negative feed backs. Negative feed back bidders bids will be cancelled. There is a reserve and all I will say is that is less than what the car books for in the condition it is in. Clean PA title in hand. $500. 00 deposit through paypal and balance must be paid within 5 business days. Wire transfers only will be accepted for the balance or good old cash!. After you see the car you can have the money wired but the car is not leaving until it is in his account.
