Heavy duty 1989 BJ-74 LX Toyota Land Cruiser  This model replaced the 40 series and is just as tough but more civilized. with air conditioning. power steering. windows and locks.  The wheelbase is about 11" longer than a 40 so it offers more storage and an improved ride but it is not too long for tight trails.
It has the reliable 13BT turbocharged 4 cylinder diesel engine and a four speed automatic transmission.  It is right hand drive. in excellent mechanical condition and has the rare. cable actuated. locking differentials.  This allows you to get power to all four wheels simultaneously if needed.  The tires are 33"x10. 50"x15" BFG All-Terrains in great condition.
Since importing it from Australia in March of 2013. I have replaced: the air and fuel filters. transmission fluid and power steering fluid. belts. water pump. thermostat. radiator cap. drain plug. by-pass hose and flushed the cooling system. replaced the front and rear pinion seals. front calipers. steering stabilizer. bushings in the shift linkage. leaky A/C condenser. receiver/dryer and recharged the A/C system. replaced the right sun visor. window runs in both front doors and the right regulator. replaced the shackle bushings with poly bushings. replaced the seals and gaskets in the winch head and a u-joint in the PTO drive shaft. replaced the front wiper motor. batteries and the cable between the batteries.  I used OEM Toyota parts for most of the maintenance and repairs.
Upgrades include: auxiliary transmission cooler. EFS 2" lift. ARB front bumper professionally modified to fit the OEM PTO winch.  I've had the paint buffed. had the mirror in the RH mirror replaced with flat mirror. set the boost at 10 PSI and installed OEM windshield cradles to hold the windshield when folded down.  A previous owner installed an OEM roll bar so it seats four with shoulder belts.
Soft top and bed cover were fabricated locally.  The rear half doors are OEM doors I cut down for use with the soft top.  Soft top is included but I can keep it if the buyer does not want it.
The PTO winch seeps a little but otherwise the truck does not drip fluids.
Clear Kentucky title in hand.
Truck is fun to drive with either top or no top.  Hard top is fiberglass so it's a two man job to lift it off.  I've driven it to Moab and would not hesitate to do so again.  Note: the photographs with the hard top installed show the wheels. tires and bumpers currently on the truck and included in the sale.
Please come and take it for a test drive.  It won't disappoint!
Sold as-is. where-is without warranty. express or implied.
