I purchased this vehicle from England in 2005. had it shipped to Baltimore and then drove it sight unseen to Salt Lake City on highway 50. and had more great meetings and conversations along the way than you can imagine because of the car. So don't buy it if your shy.   This is not a Concours car but it is a well cared for example and has been peoples choice in many area shows. It drives perfectly. I wouldn't hesitate to hop in and head back to  Baltimore.

I have reams of documentation on the car with maintenance histories and MOT's from England.   I also have kept every receipt for work I have done to the car. ( primarily improving dependability and functionality) It has a ribcase gearbox and the engine was replaced in England at one time with a factory rebuild. I have added an alternator have powdercoated the wheels (all 5) and the rearend housing as well as some other parts. I recently rebuilt the carb and rebuilt the rearend . it's  housing and brakes.  It has new tires . u joints and rear trans seal. Since I've owned it it's never gone 1000 miles without oil and filter changes. And I don't think it did very often before that according to all the receipts I have. All glass is perfect . It was painted ( the original color) in England before I bought it and while not perfect is  a very presentable job.

It was Waxoyled( a type of overall undercoating )very early on in its life  in england and as a result while it does have some small signs of surface rust and some bubbling in one area on the drivers side front fender it is remarkably rust free for a traveller. There are no perforations and what areas might need attention are minor.

I added retractable shoulder and lap belts to the front seats. added an am-fm cd player and speakers ( an actual black one with knobs from a Land Rover Discovery so it would fit the era and style) I added three power outlets (unobtrusively) so you can charge your phone. and use your GPS. I have massaged and improved a hundred little items as I have come across them. I can't imagine another car that draws so much positive attention. People don't even get mad at you for going 55-60 on the freeway. they actually smile and wave with all of their fingers.

Like I mentioned before it is not a concours car but you can get in it today and enjoy it for several years before turning it into one.

Well. Some people wanted more pictures so here they are. I also got carried away and stripped and repaired the wood. covered it with five coats of Watco danish oil. I also made new upholstery boards and reupholstered the whole back. I massaged several other things while I was at it.
