This is an extremely rare Hudson 8 Model 74 Deluxe Coupe. It is a solid car and the sheet metal is very straight.  All fenders and sheet metal are solid with only surface rust in some spots.  The only areas of deterioration are the front floor pans and I'm including authentic reproduction patch panels in order to fix the areas.  It appears that the car was taken down to bare metal and then quickly coated with black paint in order to protect the surface a couple of years ago. The roof is covered with surface rust due to the car being stored outside with a tarp for the last couple of years.  The doors. sills and cowl are solid and in remarkably good shape. The chassis is in good shape as well with only minor surface rust in spots. Everything is in great condition considering the age of the car and it looks as though it was stored in a moisture free barn for much of its life.
This car is very complete but it's missing the inline Hudson 8 engine. transmission and driveshaft plus other small odds and ends.  I can put you in contact with a gentlemen that has a rebuilt Hudson 8 cylinder engine still on the stand or I can put you in touch with another gentlemen that has a complete running drivetrain from a '36 Terraplane that would drop right in. All exterior stainless trim is included with the car.  The car has the driver and passenger side window glass but it needs to be replaced. it would be good for patterns.  The front and rear glass is missing but it's readily available through a couple of vendors. The interior seems complete and is only mocked-up in photos. and I mistakenly placed the rear seat facing the wrong direction. I also have the door panels. headliner and carpet set.
This car is a great candidate for restoration. I just don't have the time to devote to it right now and I'd rather someone else bring this rare car back to its former glory.  I have a clean and clear NC title ready to go to the next owner. The title matches the VIN on the door jamb and the numbers were verified by the NC State License and Theft Bureau per North Carolina law.
