You are bidding on (1) 1962 CORVETTE VIN #20837S103536. Car is White with White Soft Top and Fawn Beige Interior.  This is a nice Survivor car and has a great color combination. This car has been serviced but not restored.   The main goal I had and the work performed on this Corvette was to provide a fully functional/drivable car. All the service to this car was for the sole purpose of drivability. This car is 100% complete with original working radio. No broken knobs or missing screws. plates etc. Engine is rated 300 HP with the hydraulic Cam and CARTER AFB Carb.

WORK PERFORMED:

This is not a restoration car but is a serviced car as noted below:

1.    New Radiator Hoses.

6.    Set ignition timing and dialed in Carburetor.

3.    New Brake Shoes.

4.    <!-New Sway bar Bushings.

5.    New Clutch. Pressure Plate and Throw-out Bearing.

WORK NOT PERFORMED:

1.    Original radio works but will not tune past 1000 AM. The Wonder Bar does not seem to do anything. Radio does not like the door slammed and will stop working but then start again all by itself. Radio needs to be serviced.

2.    Clock does not work and needs to be restored or replaced.

3.    Windshield needs new rubber. I have purchase a full body rubber parts kit and all the required rubber will be provided with the car.

HISTORY:

This VETTE was purchased by the current Texas owner in 1978 and put in storage in 1999 and was not removed from storage until the fall of 2012. The paint is not original but the car was painted prior to 1978. This car shows no sign of ever being in wrecked. Bumpers are straight and body has no visible cracks. The clutch was replaced in 1998 along with a few other parts prior to a long road trip. I see a few Corvettes advertised as all original but were missing a few parts. This car has not been driven more than a few miles since serviced. The tires are 1998 Vintage and are flat spotted a little. The Antique License plates expired several years ago but the insurance is up to date. This car was built in December 1961 and is a 327 with 4- speed transmission and has matching numbers. It looks like the engine has never been out of the car. Engine runs nice and smooth but due to the age I have not pushed it past 3000 RPM. Carburetor is a little touchy and likes to be primed prior to starting if left sitting for more than 4 days.

WORKING:

1.    TEMP GAUGE

2.    FUEL GAUGE

3.    SPEEDOMETER

4.    GENERATOR

5.    STARTER

6.    BRAKES

7.    STEERING

8.    TACH

9.    DASH LIGHTS

10.    RUNNING LIGHTS

11.    BRAKE LIGHTS

12.    RADIO “ most of the time”

13.    TRANSMISSION SHIFTS THRU ALL GEARS WITH NO GRINDING

The underside of the car and exhaust has a little surface rust from sitting in a garage for years but looks good otherwise. Engine runs smooth with no knocking. no lifter noise. no missing and no smoke.

I have a HARDTOP in need of restoration available for this car and it is now included in this Listing. The top is complete and correct for the car but needs:

1. WINDOWS

2. RUBBER

3. PAINT

4. HEAD LINER
