This 1967 DB6 Coupe was purchased by one of our clients in 2007 out of long term Los Angeles ownership. He sent the car to us for some mechanical freshening and upgrades. He spent over $70K here at KKR which included a complete engine rebuild to 4. 2L spec. This was a no-expense spared engine overhaul. receipts are available. The car was originally an automatic and he had us fit a Steel Wings 5-speed gearbox conversion. We also installed a complete Steel Wings handling package consisting of adjustable coil-over front shock absorbers. heavy duty front sway bar. and stiffer rear springs. In addition to this we added aluminum billet rear lever shocks by Harvey Bailey. Although the car was equipped with factory power steering we removed this complicated and inefficient system and installed an electronic power steering system by GTC in the UK. This system utilizes a small servo motor and computer to provide different levels of assist that are controlled by a knob on the underdash panel. You can turn this all the way off for purely manual steering or add in as much assist as you like. A very slick system. The final touch was cruise control. Mechanically. electrically. and functionally this car needs nothing. It drives wonderfully with a very strong engine. tight 5-speed gearbox. and firm suspension.

Engine number matches data plate.

Cosmetically this car is a #2. It is very attractive from all angles but there are small flaws here and there. The paint is glossy but has minor hazing here and there and some small chips. Overall the paint is very presentable. The chrome is nice but does have some minor scuffing and scratching which would not show up in the photographs. Engine bay is detailed and very tidy. All glass is good. Dashboard and gauges are beautiful. Chrome wire wheels are in great shape as are the tires. Stainless steel exhaust. Jack. tool roll. and handbook are all present. Many RHD cars have suffered severe rust issues but this one appears to have escaped. The sills appear original and unmolested. There are some repairs to the rear radius arm boxes that are not the prettiest we have ever seen but they are solid and functional. The interior has a pleasing patina.

Overall this is a beautiful driver that you can enjoy from day 1. Without exaggeration there have been less than 250 miles put on this car since all the mechanical work was completed. The owner has lots of vehicles and they just don't get driven. Time for this one to find a new home!
