Porsche 911 SC Cabriolet 1983, legendary sports car

Iconic Porsche 911 and a genuine piece of Porsche motoring history. This car is one of the 1 st generation of right hand drive 911 cabriolets registered in the UK (7 th April 1983) and marks the first convertible produced by Porsche for 18 years.

If you went into a Porsche Dealership in 1983 and picked up a sales brochure. this car was the exact model on the front cover and the centre spread (see photos). A highly sought after and collectable car. as well as a fast appreciating asset.

The ownership history is full documented and shows the past owners include Saatchi & Saatchi (impeccable taste for the best things in life).

The car is in excellent original used condition:

Strong engine and gearbox – always starts 1 st time after being stored away for the winter. Drives and handles superbly.

Interior is in excellent condition – original leather seats and trim all in fantastic condition

·

Bodywork has no rust – underside is totally clean. Local Porsche specialist had it up on the ramps last year and commented it was one of the cleanest he'd seen.

Mot'd yesterday. 1 st time I've had the car out of the garage since last summer. it passed first time with no advisories.

Fitted with stainless steel exhaust and heat exchangers. front brakes overhauled. 6 CD changer. 2 keys. tonneau cover. HPI checked and clear. recent windscreen replacement. new battery. full tread tyres etc

Points to note. the car is 30 years old and in original used condition!:

Couple of dings and stone chips. smalls dents on both rear arches (see pictures)

Small patches of paint lifting/bubbling on front bumper

·

Small tear in roof (easy fix)

The original service book is missing but there is a thick file of detailed history from 1995 to 2007 plus a bundle of old mots and tax discs back to 1992. I have a replacement service book (with no history) but showing the car was last serviced at 138000 miles by a Porsche main dealer. I have owned it since May 2007 and covered less than 2000 miles in that time.

Reason for selling – as mentioned above. in the 6 years I've owned the car I have covered less than 2000 miles and she has only comes out of the garage 4 or 5 times a year on a summer's afternoon. She needs a new owner to look after her and to fully appreciate this beautiful car.
