After many wonderful years of ownership. finally selling our Samurai. The jeep was purchased new from our local Suzuki dealer back in 1988.

Over the past 10 years it has been relegated to a backup vehicle. used mainly for trips to the garden center. Stored under a carport 100% of the time.

We just got it back from our mechanic for a routine service and it is running great. It has recently passed the state inspection (2 weeks ago).
Recent items replaced are the starter. spark plugs. rotor button and distributor cap.   New battery about a year ago. The tires are about 85% tread life left and an upgrade in terms of brand and wider foot print (Goodyear GTAs I believe). The front two seats are upgraded cloth upholstered seats with side bolsters that fit nicely with the remaining stock interior. Recent carpet addition. Jeep is very clean inside and out.

New exterior door latches (aftermarket aluminum upgraded variety).

It has an aftermarket Sony radio that was a very nice model when it was new.   The jeep came factory equipped with air conditioning and is functional although it needs a belt.

It has the original paint that is very presentable with the exception of the ding here and there and a faded area (which can possibly be buffed out- never done prior). I captured them in the photos. The jeep always fires right up. no matter how long it sits without being driven. It has never been driven off road and the majority of mileage is highway going back and forth from North Carolina to Mississippi. 4WD only engaged a once or twice. Engine does not smoke nor require addition of oil between changes.

Selling it as it no longer gets driven regularly.

Clear title and current state inspection and registration.

Thanks for looking and please e-mail with questions.

Detail on rust spots in pictures:

The first in the section of the roof gutter (between roof and channel). A very short section.

The second is in the lower corner of the rear side window. Very surface in condition.

I wanted to update the auction with detail on the air conditioning as I have received questions from interested bidders on performance and specifics required to restore the system to working condition.

We took the jeep to our mechanic to have him inspect the AC system for what was required to make it functional.   He tolds us they had removed the compressor many years ago because it had stopped working due to age.   At that time. they covered and sealed the lines to prevent moisture and debris from getting in the system.   To put the system back into service. the new owner would need to add a new compressor (when I recently checked. they were going for $125 and up new).   Everything is intact. so just installing the new compressor. charging it with Freon is all that is needed.   There are several newer vehicles like the Geo Tracer etc. that have higher output compressors and fit the mounting setup of the Samurai. An eBay search will yield many of these options.

Also the mileage on the vehicle is actually 185. 00.

Thanks and again please contact me if you have questions.
