1981 Jeep CJ7 Renegade - 23,092 Original Miles - California Car

This auction is for a 1981 Jeep CJ7 in completely original condition with only 23. 92 original miles on it.   This Jeep has lived indoor its entire life.   The paint is in excellent condition.   The decals are in excellent condition (some minor age cracking at edges).   The interior is in excellent condition.

This is as close to showroom condition in a 32 year old vehicle (not restored or modified or lifted) I have ever owned.   It spent 30 years of its life on a family owned winery in Napa being used primarily to tour the winery grounds.  

The wheels are original and could use a fresh coat of paint or be left just as they are.   The tires look to have most of their tread left.

One of he only non-original things on this Jeep are the new in dash speakers and the new Retrosound Stereo I had installed. The original radio is included.

Just serviced and California smog passed.

The knob for the air vent comes off when pulled but the vent can still be controlled.  This was common for these Jeeps.  The side view mirrors and tire rack are the only things showing a little age and could be easily be replaced if the owner wanted everything to look fresh.  There is a small area under the hood / above the battery where the paint was damaged due to a defective battery (also common to the Jeeps and easily fixed).

Also included are the original owner's manual. the original 4x4 guide. part of the original window sticker. the original brochure from 1981 and the original color chart (all pictured).

The Jeep is also for sale locally and the ad may be removed at anytime.

The Purchase:

A $500 deposit via Paypal at the end of auction is required to hold the car for 2 weeks.  During the 2 weeks I recommend that the buyer make arrangements to see the car or have it seen by someone.  If the car is not everything we advertise it to be or the buyer changes his or her mind for any reason I will refund the $500 and re-list the car.  We are not in a hurry to sell and I want the buyer to be 100% satisfied with this car before it goes to its new home.

Final payment can be check or cashier's check or wire transfer and the Jeep can drive away only after our bank gives the green light.  I would prefer not to do this large of a transaction with cash but if the buyer would like to then I will suggest that the transaction happens at our bank.
