Jaguar Mark 10 1965 4.2

Last throw of the dice as this is the last Jaguar and possibly the best from our Wedding car fleet. Our first Mark 10 and if sold our last. This is a very good vehicle with many thousands spent over the years eg a bit over 3 years ago $10k spent when an extensive overhaul was carried out (tax invoice to prove). Just drove nearly 3 hours from Broadbeach Qld to a property 50 kms from Toowoomba and despite 40 degree OAT the vehicle driving temperature did not get above 70 degrees until I drove up the range at Murphys Creek and then this was only by about 5 degrees. If you know anything about these 2 tonne vehicles then you would know that these are normal operating temperatures for our climate. The chap who followed me home could not get over the performance of the vehicle and with the suspension upgrades handles very well. I also just had the steering column re-bushed.  Vehicle was fitted with under dash A/C for the comfort of our paying passengers when in service. I do have a number of new spares and these are available for purchase by the successful bidder. The starting bid is the reserve and I have only recently sold our 63 3. 8 for $15. 00 and our 67 420G for $15k so I think the opening price for this one is very reasonable and do not forget before the recent changes in Qld it had to have a machinery EVERY 6 MONTHS. Number plate is now a standard plate and I can take more photos for a fair dinkum enthusiast. but your best option is to inspect. I will drive the vehicle into Toowoomba should a prospective buyer wish to inspect her. Of course the vehicle could go back into service. Please note and with respect I do not want to be stuffed around by tyre kickers! I am not concerned if it sells or doesn't because given time I am confident it's value will go up eg if you saw car chasers on the TV a couple of days ago US $16k for a left hand driver version. Also another reason why it does not concern us if it sells or not . it is a damn good vehicle and my spouse loves driving her! It has been serviced every 3 months and the auto every 12 months and the auto has recently been done by a Toowoomba specialist. The engine and transmission were overhauled in the late 90s (there is a stencil mark inside the transmission) and I do have the original books and I know the prior owner got her @7. 00 miles. Current Qld road worthy is held so the vehicle can be driven away by a Qld licenced driver once of course I have clear funds in my hands and that includes Pay Pal. If sold interstate Rego will be cancelled. but you can enquire with TMR Qld and your own transport department about a permit. If sold interstate happy to drive her at the buyers risk to a Brisbane car transport depot. If you use Paypal buyer pays the fee and I need to see the payment in my own bank account prior to pick up. Cash on pick up? Yep OK but I will need a non refundable deposit of 10% into our bank account prior with balance on pick up. Our preference is a direct deposit to our bank account. See payment terms. My EBAY record is I think a very good indication of my reputation. So in summary this is a very good example with very good paint (no rust!) and a good interior although the prior owner replaced the leather seat trim with velour. The engine runs well  and the 3 speed model 8 gear box changes smoothly. I have recorded 22 MPG in this big girl but of course that depends on how she is driven and I only use 98 with am upper cylinder lube such as lucas or flash lube. I also have a series 1 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow that will be going on the market next March and is currently having the rear main replaced.
