Alfa Romeo 2000 Touring Spider 1959 Restoration Project for sale

2000 Touring Spider. 1959 restoration project.
The car is 95% complete. missing rear bumper and one door glass and sundry other small items. We have taken 30 plus photos including many showing ALL the parts which are with the car. Most brightwork is there. hoodframe is there. all major mechanical items are there. Instruments and most dashboard switches / lights etc are there but it was taken apart 20 years ago so undoubtedly some small items may be missing. Please email us if you would like to see further photos showing all the parts or any other photos you may require of the bodywork.
The upper body panels are largely undamaged and not very rusty from 6 inches up. Car was originally graphite grey (a popular colour for 2000 Touring Spiders - see last photo) and doesn't seem to have suffered any major accident damage in it's life. It was originally a Dutch car but has been in the UK for many years. although never registered here.
Extensive sill corrosion and floors are rusted out. Panels are available at a sensible price - see here -

These elegant cars. designed by Touring of Italy (one of the great Italian coachbuilders) fetch around 75. 00 euros in Europe once restored to a high standard and. given their rarity. can only still appreciate from there.
We can assist with shipping / export and can have the car delivered to any UK port / shipping company for £2 per mile. The car can be viewed during the auction by appointment. we are 25 minutes from Gatwick airport by car and 30 minutes from London Victoria station by train - postcode CR 0 4 WQ.
NB. Photo 12 is only there to illustrate what the car will look like when restored.
The conditions of the sale are as follows -
25% of the final sale price must be paid by bank transfer / Paypal with 72 hours of auction end or the car will be offered to the next highest bidder.
The full balance must be paid and the car collected within 10 days of the auction end or your deposit will be returned and the car sold to the next highest bidder.
