1969 Dodge Charger Daytona 426 Hemi 4 speed Dana60 Rotisserie Restored

The car offered to you here today was built by me for me. Nothing has been overlooked in the way of quality of parts . labor . or Materials. This Charger Daytona clone was built to be my car forever. ut now Im looking to downsize in the old car department. Everything Thats supposed to be steel is steel and only the parts that are supposed to be fiberglass are(headlight pods and fender scoops. I love this car almost like a member of the family and as much as Im ready to let someone else enjoy it. will not give it away. I will sell it for a reasonable price. ut not giving it away. I built this car for myself and you would be VERY hardpressed to find a Charger that is as well sorted as this car. Everything works like its supposed to or better. Next I will try to describe the Build as best I can. When I build a clone I do everything I can to make it so other than the numbers its hard to detect that its not the real McCoy.

BODY:

Real 69 Charger Has had new AMD sheetmetal installedto the rear portion to make it 100% rustfree. The floors were all new. I added XV factory looking subframe connectors and front structure braces. I also added all the Hemi support parts (IE) torque boxes snubber plate rail ties. etc. The entire body was taken to bare. lean steel. epoxy primed and then the convertion work was done to the rear window area (vega plug) with all of the seams leaded to seal out moisture and to avoid the haloing that can occur with plastic body filler. The entire car was pinted in PPG Concept single stage with clear on all of the outside panels to achieve a deep glamourous shine. All of the trim is either replaced. rechromed or professionally polished. The body is totally straight and smooth. The Charger has the nicest gaps Ive seen on one of these. heyare nice and consistant. The only undercoating is in the wheel wells. The floors are in color underneath and look awesome with all the new stainles lines. and cables. The underside is as much fun to stare at as the top. The wing is a hollow aluminum reproduction thats VERY close to an original.  The nose on this car is a repaired original frone one of the 503 original Daytonas.

INTERIOR:

The interior was also proffesionally done. The Carpet is fro ECS and was shipped flat in big boxes to avoid rolling wrinkles into it. The seats are completelt redone including blasting . ainting and new foam . They are covered with Legenday iteriors covers. The interior door panels are new from Ledgenday. he upper door pads are new B. &A pieces. Top of the line. The Headliner is new and looks perfect. bsolutly no wrinkles. New seatbelts too.  The rear parcel area is a repop Daytona part that fits in awesome along with the often missing interior window trim. ts there and fits right. In the trunk is an original PolyGlass GT on a white steel 15 wheel along with the proper jacks for a Daytona Charger.

GLASS:

All of the glass is brand new AMD glass except the rear window. hich was polished before installed to match the rest of the glass. The windows all seal up nicely for a 44 year old car. All new weatherseal. window sweeps and door gaskets.

DRIVETRAIN:

528 Hemi with alluminum heads and intake(Stage5 ) The engine was built for me by For Hemis Only in Canada. Dual inline four barrels to look as close to a stock 426 as it can. The engine was dynoed and pulled 687hp and 670 torque. It is a blast to drive. The engine is mounted to a MegaParts factory style Hemi K member. Its just like a factory Hemi car. Msd hidden box ignition with rev limiter. All of the specs and dyno result info with go with car on cd. The transmission is a real Hemi 4speed 18 spline unit that was rebuilt using USA parts. Itshifts perfect every time via a new Hurst shifter. The rear end is a 69 b bdy car Dana60 . Completly rebuilt including new Suregrip and 3. 54 ratio. It also has Moser haredened axle shafts. The exhaust is TTI including the headers. Dynmax Ultrafllow Muffs give it an awesome sound. The engine runs nice and cool even when its hot and humid out. Bob at Glenray radiators built it and its the Max cool core.

ELECTRICAL:

Every bit of wiring is new reproduction harness . Everything works as it should. The turn sigbal switch is a nice NOS part that works smooth and properly. The Dash is completly gone through too. The facepaltes are new and all of the gauges were sent out converted to modern parts and calibrated. The radio is a factory am with the convertion work done to be FM and Ipod mp3 ready. Hidden speakers under the seats make it so you can hear it when driving down the road. Windshield wiper motor is a fresh rebuilt from Jules.

SUSPENSION: The suspension is completly new and or rebuilt. It has new springs and T-bars. All new bushings. all joints etc. I added larger than stock front Sway bar and I added a rear bar. The car handle AWESOME! Everything on the suspension was either plated like factory of blasted and painted to look bare while being done to last. The wheels it will come with are the White painted to match steel 15 x7 wheels with red line bias tires and Perfect repop dogdish hubcaps. Unless someone wants to work something out withe the other wheels.
