This car was in regular use until autumn 2011 when it was put into dry storage as I went to live overseas. In july this year I spent £1000 putting it back on the road. However after moving to a new house that does not have a garage I cannot bear the thought of this beautiful car being left out in all weathers.

This is a 1978 fiat spider. Imported to the UK in 2006 after a partial restoration and has been maintained regardless of cost. Since putting it back on the road I have used it daily for traveling to work and it has never missed a beat. it starts first time and is mechanically and structually sound. It passed its MOT in july. needing only some minor electrical work. a repair to the suspension support and a joint on the exhaust. The hood was replaced in the 2006 restoration and is still like new with no leaks cracks or tares. I have also had a thatcham cat 1 alarm and immobiliser fitted. I also have workshop manuals and loads of other paperwork which will come with the car.

This is a great. solid example and looks fantastic. It still has the original US bumpers and loads of other original features including the tool kit and factory paint stickers in the boot. Very few original examples of this car are in the uk. most are wrecks or fully restored examples for £12k plus. This is an opportunity to own a great example of a usable classic at a resonable price.  

As mentioned elsewere in this add the car is not perfect but it is 35 years and its still going strong.

The winning bidder needs to arrange collection within 7 days of the end of the auction and pay cash on collection.
