Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.25) based on 114 votes
Up for sale is a 1970 GTO finished in its original Bermuda blue paint with blue interior. 455 H. O. engine. original TH400 auto trans. original 12-bolt 3. 08 rearend Posi.  I HAVE NO RESERVE ON THIS CAR. so highest bidder gets this car! Only 1986 of these cars were ever built.
This is a rare 455 HO GTO.   ALL doors. panels. undercarriage. axle. rear-end and transmission are original to the car (even the heads are original 1970 to this car #64).  However. the engine block has been changed to a 1971 455 HO.  This car was born as a 455 HO RARE car 1 of 1986 (see built sheet) and the engine block was replaced with another period correct Pontiac 455 HO engine block.  My only assumption is that the block was changed at a dealership back in its very early days (but I have no proof; however. it makes sense since the heads still match the 70 original engine).   Irrespective. I would drive this car to California and back. it drives ABSOLUTELY perfect.
The car is newly painted (almost a year ago); but it is not 100% perfect. :( it has couple of paint flaws! Please see photos for more details. but the car still looks great and does have new paint.  This 'GOAT' runs and drives like a new car.    It has all original undercarriage the car did not have rust (except for left quarter panel which got patched).  The car runs and drives like new!  YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.
This GTO has power steering and brakes but no A/C and no interior power options.
This car has been completely gone through. the drivetrain has been freshened up with new gaskets. seal and paint but not rebuilt. the trans and rearend have been serviced. all the bushings. brakes. ball joints. "wearables". etc. have been replaced; This is one of THE BEST DRIVING classic cars I have ever owned and driven. it has excellent power and road manners. rides beautifully and is very reliable.
The car has also been completely restored cosmetically. the bodywork and paint are beautiful; the original Endura nose was stripped and smoothed using the proper materials to ensure against any future cracking or warping while retaining its original intended flexibility. The interior is 100% brand new as well with new carpet. headliner. front and rear door panels. seat foam and upholstery front and rear. all handles. knobs. etc. and the original dash was sent out and restored by Just Dashes and looks better than new.
I have the PHS documentation to go with the car as well as the original owners manual. You will not find another car that has been optioned the way this one has. This car is absolutely a dream to drive and wherever I go people want to take pictures of it.  In the State of GA Pre-1985 cars do not require a title to sell; so. I am selling this car with my registration papers and a bill of sale only.  Overall this car is stunning. between the looks. the driving experience and the rarity. you cannot go wrong with this purchase.
Note: if I sell it here locally. I reserve the right to cancel the ad.
Thanks for taking the time to look at my auction and have a great day.
