Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a beautifully restored 1970 Plymouth Road Runner. The Road Runner was Chrysler's mid-sized performance car built on the Belvedere chassis. Though it wouldn't be considered mid-sized by today's standards. the '70 Road Runner's long. straight body has a striking appearance and made for a great canvas for some memorable graphics. Chrysler teamed up with Warner Bros. and bought the right to use the Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote cartoon characters in their graphics for the car. All the way down the side of the body you can find a dust trail from the Road Runner who can be found on the front fender. In addition to his image. you can hear the Road Runner's famous "Beep Beep" each time you hit the horn. Don't let the cartoons fool you. this is still one bad machine. Under the hood you'll find a healthy and freshly rebuilt 383 CID V8 with a single 4 barrel carburetor. In '70 this set up was rated at 335 HP. Backing the 383 is a 727 TorqueFlite and a Sure Grip rear with 3. 23 final drive ratio. Before you hear this bad boy coming. you'll probably notice the eye catching B5 Blue exterior which has been beautifully laid on a super straight body. High quality PPG base coat clear coat paint was used for an amazing finish. The Road Runner sits on classic Mopar rally wheels wrapped in raised white letter tires to complete the look. Inside it has white leather upholstery. AM/FM radio. and Air Conditioning. This car has only been driven a few hundred miles since being driven and could easily be taken straight to a car show.
