1965 Alfa Romeo GIULIA SPRINT SPECIALE SS for sale

*BARN-FIND* 1965 ALFA-ROMEO "SPRINT SPECIALE"with only 38. 25 actual miles.
Off the road since 1972. not running. and in dry storage.
Extremely rare and beautiful car with a fascinating race history and story.
Extremely solid. not rusty or wrecked.
Originally delivered to New Jersey in 1965 in red. this car was purchased by a woman with a passion for racing. and was raced around the New York area. including at the SCCA championships at LIME ROCK. She had a quick repaint on the car done to give it the "TZ" look. ivory with a black tail end. to make it stand out on the race course. The car lost its clutch during the race. and was moved to her vacation home in the Scottsdale. AZ area. but was never run again.
The replacement clutch is still in the box. inside the car.
The 1570 cc DOHC inline-4 cylinder motor spins freely.
It is equipped with front disc. and rear drum brakes.
Independent front suspension. and live rear axle.
It will need the attention usually given all cars coming out of long-term storage: the Weber carbs will need to be rebuilt. fuel system cleaned. fuel and brake lines replaced. brakes sorted out. etc.
The interior is in good shape overall. but will need carpeting. and some refreshing.
The quickie paint job is showing it's age and quality. and will need to be addressed if this car is going to get a full restoration.
It is certainly a good and worthy investment.
