On the outside this just looks like a beautifully built 1965 Shelby Cobra. but then everybody else on the track starts wondering why you can smoke them all.

That's because this is a Backdraft Racing Cobra.

It means a 450 hp Roush V 8. a fully independent suspension. four-wheel disc brakes. beefy five-speed gearbox. and a whole host of other goodies to make this one of the baddest Cobra you've ever laid eyes on.

The paint instantly makes this one a shining star. The Monterey Blue Metallic lives up to it's name with a luster so deep it's like staring into a California bay.

If you know the Backdraft cars. you know that their workmanship is one of the highest regarded in the Cobra industry. and the fit and finish on this particular car is worthy of all the extra scrutiny it's likely to get at shows.

All the little details are right. including the shielding over the blue dot headlights. riveted hood. fender flares. full bumpers. and chrome rollover hoop for the driver.

Since this one was built to drive. there's even a folding top and polished heat shields on the side pipes that might save your pant leg.

And perfectly complementing those shiny side pipes is a set of iconic ten-spoke Halibrand-style knock-off wheels.

All Cobras are about offering the wind-in-your-hair purist motoring. but you'll instantly notice this one also has been built for a bit more comfort and style.

Curvy tan bucket seats look great. and more importantly. hold you in place during aggressive driving.

The diamond stitching down the center nicely coordinates with the doors.

They did a lot of work in this Backdraft Racing replica to give it that authentic feel. ranging from the wood-rimmed steering wheel. to the interior-mounted fire extinguisher. to the four-point racing harnesses for both driver and passenger.

But this is also a civilized car. so it has carpets. a padded dash. and Plexiglas sun visors. and an AM/FM/CD stereo with Clarion speakers that play loud and clear as you approach triple-digit speeds.

Big VDO analog gauges fill the instrument panel with information. and that's good because there's a lot going on in the engine bay.

Once people get over all the shine that comes from opening the hood. the first question will be. "Is it really powered by Roush or are those just the valve covers?" You can enthusiastically tell them the virtues of the Roush 342 R V 8.

It's a 342 cubic-inch motor that has been fortified with a forged crank. connecting rods. and pistons.

There are other performance goodies such as Roush aluminum heads. specially prepared roller cam. Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake. Holley 770 CFM four-barrel carburetor. and a whole host of other goodies.

Roush dyno tests the motors so that they make sure there's 450 hp right out of the box. and the header-fed side pies do a great job of announcing all of the power.

This is backed up by reliable components such as the Tremec five-speed manual and aluminum radiator with electric fan. On the road or racetrack. you'll instantly feel the confidence the fully independent suspension gives you.

Plus. there's superior control with the modern grip of the Goodyear Eagle F 1 tires that are backed up at each wheel with disc brakes.

Built in 2009 and only 10. 98 miles put on it since. this Cobra is faster and more comfortable than just about anything else you can find.

Vehicle may be sold by Streetside Classic Cars prior to the end of the auction. Streetside Classic Cars reserves the right to end its auctions early or to cancel bids solely at its discretion and shall not be held liable for any such cancellation.

The winning bidder is required to contact Streetside Classic Cars within 24 hours after the close of the auction to finalize the details of the transaction.

A $500 Paypal deposit is required immediately upon selecting the Buy-It-Now option. The $500 Paypal deposit is non-refundable as ending an e Bay auction and not buying the vehicle is very damaging to the seller. Any refunds will be at the sole discretion of Streetside Classic Cars and are not guaranteed.

If winning bidder does not contact Streetside Classic Cars and submit deposit within 48 hours of auction close. vehicle may be made available to the next highest bidder or another qualified buyer on a first come. first serve basis.

For balance of payment we will accept bank wire transfer (preferred). cashier's check. or personal check (vehicle shipment will be delayed until check clears).
