1923 Dodge Brothers 2 door Deluxe Coupe found sitting in a barn since the 70's.   The car is 98% complete with only a few items missing such as the radiator cap. window cranks. the driver's side outer door handle. front bumper and the throttle linkage.   The body is in very solid shape with rust along the roof belt lines and some at the lower body.   The fenders. doors and trunk floor are solid. the frame is solid.   The sheet metal is remarkably straight with only a few small minor dings.   The roof wood framing is good but the canvas insert has been replaced with a piece of sheet metal. The engine cranks by hand with the hand crank but the starter is not working at this time.   There is no spark yet but I'm sure it's something simple like points. plug wires or a coil issue. the trans shifts into all gears and the clutch works.   the tires hold air. the wood wheels are and the car rolls easily.   the mechanical brakes work.   I put a battery in it and replaced the main battery cables. it's an original 12V system. The lights and horn are working.   The car also contains a hidden compartment under the seat that was used to carry whisky during the prohibition era.   There are 2 tire rim spreaders. the original hand crank arm and the original grease gun in the trunk.   I also have an original 1923 license plate. a 1964 temp tag and 1974 historical vehicle tags with the car.

The car is original as far as parts. engine. trans etc. The car looks to have been repainted and the interior redone sometime in the early 60's.   The color is blue (should be black) and the interior was redone in white vinyl with blue accents.   It was used as a parade car thru the seventies. then stored in a barn until about 6 months ago.   The car has a period correct spot light and a vacuum operated windshield wiper motor. both I believe were accessories from the twenties and thirties.   The fuel system vacuum tank was removed to add the wiper motor and what looks like a period correct electric fuel pump was added in the trunk.   I believe this was a common modification back in the day.   The rear bumper is what appears to be a period correct "tow" bumper nicely mounted to the original bumper brackets.

The engine turns over easily but has no spark.   I'm fairly confident the car will run with a spark. a new electric fuel pump and some fresh fuel.   The combination starter generator is not hooked up so I'm not sure if it will crank on its own.   The beauty of this car is its very complete. there would be very little hunting for parts. it's all there. original and in decent shape for 93 yrs old.   With a little work it could be drivable as-is.   I can store the car for the buyer after paying in full for a few weeks if needed.
