MORRIS OXFORD 1954 Series II
We have a 1954 Morris Oxford sedan. Series II 1951 design. as shown in the attached photos which form part of the description. This car is ideal for an enthusiast to restore to former glory and drive on special outings. The owner bought it some years ago as a sentimental reminder of one of his early new cars in about 1956. we do not know how many previous owners. but to satisfy eBay listing have shown as 3. It was restored in the late 1990's but has not had a lot of use since then. It was fully registered and insured and driven about 2 years ago. but only very occasionally in the last year. The rear brakes have just had new wheel cylinders and brake linings fitted and are now as good as ever. It was driven to the registration check in Oct 2016. but failed due to rust and some cracking in the tyre side walls. It would seem not to be a major job to rectify rust. and touch up the body work. but we do not have time and enthusiasm to do this. The interior is in fair condition with good upholstery. Shown as 51000km as speedo shows 31523 miles.
The car is at Roseville but cannot be taken out on a test drive due to lack of registration and insurance. There is a battleaxe driveway for a brief test drive. The lucky purchaser will need a flat bed truck or trailer to take the car away.
