1982 Chevrolet Corvette Collector's Edition

Up for auction is a beautiful and very original documented 19 k mile 1982 Corvette Collector's Edition. This Corvette sports it's original paint. decals and even retains it's original '82 date code correct mufflers (see pictures. ) It starts up every time without hesitation and it's original L 83 350 engine idles very smoothly at 800 RPMs. The car runs and drives in tip-top shape and handles the road very well. It is not in need of any mechanical repair and has been well maintained. Fluids were flushed and changed earlier this year and the drive belts were changed also. Headlights go up and down evenly and smoothly.

Collector Edition Corvettes were very heavily optioned as it was a sendoff to the C 3 Vettes by Chevrolet for the last year of the production run. Below are the options originally equipped with this car:

Lots of detail and thought went into the Collectors Edition Styling that separates them from other 82's starting with it's unique paint scheme that was something of a tri-color application of gold. silver and brown. and it's interior used the same 3 matching colors. Also the Collector's Edition have a frameless lift up rear hatch glass and bolt-on styled wheels that are reminiscent of a 1967 Corvette bolt-ons.

The body and paint of this Corvette are in excellent condition. Remarkably. the original decals are in terrific shape with the paint only having a very few imperfections that would require minor touch-ups if you desired. The interior seats. console. door panels and dashboard are in excellent condition with zero rips. tears or unusual wear. And there is a matching arm rest cushion that rests upon the console. Carpets are in excellent shape without any fading or rips.
