1954 Fiat 500C Topolino

Model History

The Topolino was one of the smallest cars in the world at the time of its production. Launched in 1937. three models were produced until 1955. all with only minor mechanical and cosmetic changes. It was equipped with a 569 cc four-cylinder. side-valve. water-cooled engine mounted in front of the front axle. later an overhead valve motor ) and so was a full-scale car rather than a cyclecar. Model C started in 1949. with restyled body and the same engine as Model B. and was offered in 2-door sedan and 3-door wagon versions. Since 1952. . Giardinetta was renamed Belvedere ("A turret or other raised structure offering a pleasant view of the surrounding area". referring to its sunroof). Model C was produced until 1955.

Interior & Equipment

The original interior has been restored throughout. new carpets. all original dashboard. gauges. switches and steering wheel. original door cards all superb.

Exterior

Fully restored 9 years ago with very good paintwork and excellent panel fit. Much of the brightwork is original. unmarked glass. and all original decals and trim. The sunroof has been refurbished and operates perfectly. She sits perfectly and looks stunning. The underside was completely stripped back during the restoration and has been completely wax oiled throughout.

Wheels. Tyres & Brakes

The original steel Fiat wheels with chrome hub caps have been fully restored and she sits on all matching very good tyres.

Engine & Transmission

The original 569cc engine has been fully rebuilt. She starts first time everytime and sounds smooth with no adverse rattles or knocks. The clutch and gearbox operate with ease and she is a pleasure to drive. The engine bay is detailed throughout.

Summary

This stunning and rare Topolino C underwent a full nut and bolt restoration 9 years ago and is still immaculate throughout.

This excellent example has recently been imported from Italy and will be registered for the first time in the UK to the new keeper.

This is one not to be missed. she has excellent panel fit. sits lovely and wants for nothing so ready to enjoy for years to come and an excellent investment for the future.
