The Ferrari 328 can be seen as the ultimate development of the line which began with the 246 GT Dino; its design source can not only be seen in the mechanical specification but in its delightful styling too. Race-bred independent suspension at each corner endowed this Ferrari with enviable poise and dynamic handling. while the mid mounted 260bhp 3. 2 litre V8 engine propelled it to over 150mph with a 0-60mph time of just six seconds. Though not having the ultimate performance of its elder brother. the 288 GTO. the 328 earned itself a reputation for its all-round ability. Here was a car that was capable of being driven with complete docility round town. but possessing the potential to see off virtually all opposition on a fast twisty road.
When it came time to replace the 328 the task was enormous; the 328 had been by far the most popular model to leave Maranello. a perfect combination of practicality and performance. This 328 GTS. finished in Red with Black Leather. was imported in 1998 by the previous owner. who has owned the car since as part of his collection. Used sparingly and well maintained E493 CGN has just been subject to work totalling £4. 00 by a well-known Ferrari Specialist. Mechanically in fine fettle. the red coachwork also. Complete with a large variety of invoices. bills and receipts. E493 CGN comes complete with its original sales invoice.
